The final round of this years FIA GT championship takes place at Zolder in Belgium next weekend (24th/25th October). Vitaphone Maserati tied up the team title last time at Paul Ricard but going into the final round the #1 Maserati crew only has a 4 point lead over the #4 Corvette in the drivers title chase.

Any other PHers going?

A couple of us Corvette owners are on the 07:42 Eurotunnel Saturday morning and staying Saturday night at the NH Hotel in Genk.

I'll be there, as we have a Ferrari out in Belcar and our two Kia Silhouettes in the BTCS.

I'm sure the corvettes will put up a good show. The way the GT1 carsexit the turns with huge amounts of torque and that great V8 noise, it's amazing.

Hopefully Hezemans doesn't have engine trouble like he did on Paul Ricard and maserati finishes fourth!!

Good choice for the NH hotel in Genk i stayed there (when i still lived in Belgium)

you were correct about the hotel, very nice smile also found an excellent authentic Belgian restaurant selling delicious steak and also selling mussels by the kilo!!

The result didn't go the way I wanted but I wasn't surprised, the #4 Corvette qualifed on pole alongside the #2 Maserati but both got demoted 5 grid places as their fastest laps took place while yellow flags were flying to retrieve Bert Longin from the gravel trap.
