Here is the first pic i have seen of the new Honda, and you cant see any details as it is all black.

I'd like to see an F1 car race in black for a change. Last one's were probably the JPS Lotus-Renault that Senna drove in 1986. If you discount the Andrea Moda that turned up but never raced.

Stealth, the new secret tactic in F1.

Apparently the new Honda livery is going to be some radical new concept in livery design, so it is to be unveiled later. It had better be good, they're going to look a right bunch of tits if they make such a big deal about it and it's rubbish.

Hard to tell because of the colour, but it does seem to have some quite aggresive aerodynamic's to the side pods. They appear to be tailing in almost before the end of the tub.

Hope they'll keep it black. I think it looks great like that.

OOPS.

Jenson Button was supposed to complete his first laps today in the RA107, but unfortunately for the 27-year-old the car stopped without having even completed a single lap. Honda is currently in Barcelona to present its 2007 contender.

The RA107 made its debut on track for the first time on Wednesday. Rubens Barrichello completed a number of laps without any major problems. Unfortunately for Button he had to cope with what looks likes an electrical problem.

Seems that theres a large chunk of something missing between the rear wing and the rad openings!!

Looks wrong to me - oh well, Honda might be in for a bad season again......

Assuming it isn't an optical illusion caused by the black paint, getting rid of as much sidepod as possible will get more air onto the small rear wings (and the top of the diffuser), equals more downforce.

where the bloody hell does the engine go? certainly a radical design - ive never seen such low (or non existant) rear decking!

Are you sure this isn't a picture of next year's Super Aguri?

There seems to be a trend this year for teams to cut away the rear of the car - the Ferrari, Renault and McLaren all display this. Love to see what the RBR will be like - it was due a shakedown yesterday, with launch tomorrow.

Bodes well I reckon... they needed some aerodynamic innovation. Can't wait to see if it works or not. It's certainly the most radical design so far.

Bit of deja vu anyone?

They've certainly been busy with the shrink-wrapping havent they!

Whether its due to Geoff Willis leaving or their second wind tunnel coming into operation I don't know, but to me it looks like the most radically changed car of those launched so far when compared to last years cars. That will probably mean its either lightning quick but breaks all the time (a la MP4/18 Mac?), or its fundamentally flawed and dog slow scratchchin

With it being black its so hard to see the exact shape and contours of all the little appendages, but I have to agree, does seem to be slimmed down a fair ammount.

Looking forward to the Red Bull launch tomorrow, I think that will be another radical change from the previous years car, thanks to Mr Newey.
