He has been a waste of a seat to be honest. No idea what Mercedes were paying him. His performance in Singapore and his abrupt ending just summed up his return. Blaming Petronas would be pathetic, he should take a good look at himself.

Being pushed out for Hamilton must feel like a kick in the teeth.

Your hate for the man is well documented if he retires at least you'll need to find somethig else to post about, maybe it'll be Hamiltons success at Mercedes, maybe not.

ETA, don't think Ross Brawn shares your oh-so informed opinion.

"Speaking about Schumacher's future on BBC Radio 5 Live on Thursday, Brawn said: "It's still under discussion, I'm afraid. I can't comment very much on that, but Michael's been a huge asset to the team, he's really taken us forward."

Taken them forward? In what way?? Recyclying crashed body parts. Of course Brawn is going to try and big him up and make him look valuable & important. He has been a waste of space and time and like i have said previously has ruined his reputation as he now has a huge question mark over "some" of his titles in a car that must have been on a different planet to the other cars.

Some of the mythology about lapping the whole field and driving half a race with 1 gear or whatever the story was make sense now - He was in a car equavalent to a Porsche racing against Mondeos.

Do you not think it's impressive that as a 43 yr old he has out-qualified his much younger team-mate who was/is rated as a very fast driver?

For me the most impressive thing about the Schumacher comeback is that he proved you can still perform in your 40s as well as the younger generation. He may not be as good as he once was, but it's still impressive nonetheless.

The HRT has a lot of black and gold stripes on it. I hope he doesn't burn his bridges and lose out on the chance of a drive.

Pedro and Michael.

They could be sponsored by Saga and Stannah.

How the mighty have fallen then. Your impressed that he has out-qualified Nico Rosberg then done F-all in the actual race apart from ruin other drivers races and have more penalties that Maldanado.Look at the tables this year and last to see how he has performed against Nico Rosberg.

And how old was Rubens when he was out qualifying Jenson a few years back and actually winning races. Schumi fans just can accept that he is not as good as they thought he was.

Great input there........................ at least try and dismiss my points. Or argue why he could almost lap the field and win races in 1 gear.

Can you imagine these feats of amazement currently happening now? Be honest.

It refers to tyres, off course. Have similar importance in F1 as oil in the real world.
While I can see why people have come to this conclusion, as Shui has complained about the tyres this year, I don't ever recall tyres being referred to as black gold before, whereas oil has been quite commonly for a long time. My guess is that Scui doesn't like the fact that GP races are now held in oil rich countires on uninteresting tracks and where motorsport has little heritage or interest.
My wild, crazy, completely off the wall theory is the thing that he didn't like the most this year was going to Bahrain.

Actually no, its probably Lewis Hamilton for some reason (coz he iz black).

Being honest no I can't. So what.

How good will Hamilton be when he's 43? Or Vettel?
Maybe they'll be good.
More likely they won't have the motivation by then.

It's become a bit of a habit in modern sport that people retire at the top. Personally I think that's sad. People should enjoy competing at the top level, even if it's not winning all the time. It's putting something back into the sport that you've taken so much from.

Tell you what would be a feat of amazement, that's you actually adding something constructive to this thread rather than reguritating the same 'ain't got a clue' crap you've been doing for the last 3 years.

The only reason Schumi got a seat at 43 was because of the Myth. WDC's are getting younger and a new crop of young quicker fitter drivers will appear. There is no need to be looking at older experienced drivers hence why Rubens couldnt get a drive.

As for so what? Thats my point. He was driving a Porsche Turbo when the others were in Mondeos and Astra's. Schumachers almost biblical feats of driving will never be seen again and its nothing to do with his driving skills.

You keep forgetting to add 'in your opinion' to your claims.

I'm not claiming anything other than facts.

And as to opinion, most of those close to F1 rate him as one of the top 3 drivers of all time, and some even rate him as the greatest.

You will find they "Did" rate him. Ask them all now and you will get a different answer. Some delluded posters mentioning that he may get the Ferrari seat over Massa. No chance on earth IMO.
