Not surprising. For every decent driver there are two muppets. Joey Essex? FFS. What's he, a champion retard?
Genuine LOL.For those interested the 'skill challenge' they are currently doing was developed with Terry Grant and a few others at none other than b'ham wheels oval track
Hmmm...how does this work. I looked to buy tickets on Monday and the cheapest available seemed to be about £60 each, making it a £180 night out. I decided not to go. But that implied that the cheap seats had sold (or I couldn't drive the website properly!)
Based on the number of seats with bums on (allowing that some ticket holders may have elected not to attend following Paris) why oh why don't they sell them for £20 or so and families who can't afford Silverstone could get to see some famous names in the relative comfort of Wembley.
Surely a stadium full of folks who got a cheap night out is better than what's happened. It makes for terrible TV publicity wise. And we laugh about the rubbish attendances at some of the "new" F1 race locations, yet England, the home of Motorsport can't even fill more than 15% of the place

I've given up on it already, I wanted to watch decent drivers not celebrities.
Oh, I agree - Vettel, Button, Ricciardo, Coulthard, Kristensen, Plato, Solberg, Hulkenberg, Massa, Grosjean, Priaulx... not a decent driver amongst them. They could have at least got a few F1 World Champions in couldn't they? The idea of doing it in a stadium is st. Great drivers, decent cars but the track isn't really big enough to test any real skill. I'd bet anybody who's done a full season of club racing with a fair amount of success would look quite good. Why don't they rent the silverstone national circuit, erect some additional seating do the entire track is surrounded and have a decent race

Because the whole USP of the ROC is, and has always been, that it is held in a temporarily asphalted stadium. That's what it is. It's like saying "why do they bother having a F1 race at Monaco when we could just have another anonymous Tilke circuit in Eastern Europe or the Far East?" or "What's so special about Wimbledon? Why not hold a tennis tournament somewhere less densely populated than London?"Edited by JonRB on Friday 20th November 22:41

No the USP of ROC is the best drivers in the same cars. Barbados wasn't in a big stadium last year. Having spoken with Fredrik about a year ago they were discussing the location could be a street track like the FE in London. I think a longer track would make it a bit better for TV, im sure being in the stadium is greatEdited by JonRB on Friday 20th November 22:41

Quite enjoying the coverage, good to see the drivers in relaxed mode, some really tight racing, different cars etc
The commentary is abysmal though, Martin (whatever his name is) keeps getting the split times wrong, Jenny Gow is awful....
Martin does the Le Mans commentary on Eurosport and it's terrible. Most of the time they are all shouting over each otherThe commentary is abysmal though, Martin (whatever his name is) keeps getting the split times wrong, Jenny Gow is awful....

I like you looked at the website and all the cheap seats had gone, the cheapest one's that looked like you'd get a decent view were £68 including booking fee etc. The really decent one's were £160! Mickey Mouse event with a Mickey Mouse website/track.
