RE: New TVR racer hits the track

The factory should have made a road car similar to this, with at last a proper motor in it , things then maybe different at Blackpool.
Exactly, but they wouldn't listen. If they had, things would be so different. How many times have people posted threads asking for such a car, and now we see the result.

I think they intended to.
There were (or are) a whole load of shells that look just like that at Blackpool.
Perhaps someone bought them - they probably would have accepted any offer as they are hard up for cash.
They were alledged to be light weight shells too.
I like it- without wishing to sound like a stuck record, this represents a return to TVR's core values. If 15-20 owner drivers could be found to race them a la Tuscan challenge it could have the same promotional impact.
If someone else is paying, i'd be happy to drive the thing.....

Those Sag racer shells are very light weight, I think 30kg was the quoted figure, when I lifted one a few months back it's a figure I can believe, it was paper thin.

Begs the question, what has this car really got to do with a TVR? It has a bespoke body and all the oily bits from the engine to the differential have been replaced.
Although a custom build...the car is absolutly stunning...looks like a mini speed 12....nothing wrong with a few nice mods if it helps it be a better package ...I like it ... lots....

No problem Andy, if it helps to get Gavin's, Tim's and Fred's project of the ground, all the better.
Looks like i will have to start charging.

*It was Tim Hood in the black Sagaris/Tuscan V8 I saw at Oulton last year.
Wasnt there also at red Sagaris as well at Oulton? - Sure i remember at least in practice in the morning there where 2... and during the race Tim was flying, till the front splitter broke off.

Cliff's attempt at flight was at Mallory, I was there, it was wet. He didn't roll it, it sort of rolled for him as he went down a bit of a bank. Must have been strange looking at an upside down world.
I think it could be a really interesting season with all the new cars coming out.
Boosted.

The drivetrain, engine, gearbox, differential have been modified specifically for the GTF 600R by ProMaster to ensure maximum power and reliability, with a secure and cost effective supply line for the future. Upfront there will be a modified Chevrolet LS2 6-litre V8 producing in excess of 500bhp with torque curves to match. With an all up race weight of 900Kg, performance will surpass even that of the mighty Tuscan Challenge racer.
500hp...900kg I want one... how much in euro's? and when can it be delivered it sounds good...to good?

Thats a shame would be great if it could be used for the road as well. Like a hardcore Track/Road car like a fezza 360CS.
