Just thought I'd run this by you all. This is from a fried of mine, who was a little upset about yesterday's outcome to say the least. He sent me this today, and I won't tell you what I think. What do you reckon? Feasible????
PS. Its a bit of a rant ranting

The sport is stage managed across the length of the season to deliver a close result and keep TV viewing ratings high. The 'business'is then sorted out in the last few races. TV revenues and the global window this provides for sponsors is the life blood and cashflow of the sport. Bernie needs to grow revenues every year to meet the rising costs of running the show.

The last thing Bernie wants is another Nigel Mansell who crushed everyone with half a season to go once he got the right car. Bad for the ratings old chum. As for mad Max, he keeps things close with timely interventions like suspending Michael Schumacher in 1994 in order to keep the sport alive after the death of Senna. Ever since then the title goes to a final racer decider every year. Amazingly this year it involved 3 drivers of different nationalities and the one least expected to win triumphed

I think that the F1 title was a fix ! i think McLaren were told to make sure neither driver would win the title ! look at the facts below
1. L.H only needed 2 points from 2 races to win the world title
2. second last race mclaren refused to pit LH even tho his tyres were clearly down to the white (no rubber) they let him race on for a few laps till it all want wrong.
This race his gearbox suddenly just selected neutral for 30 seconds for no reason?
4. Then they strangely pitted LH 3 times even tho F.A was on a 2 stop and F.A said at the start of the race that they were both on the same stratagy ?How on earth did they think a 3 stop was the best stratagy ? Because the 30second gearbox problem was not enough to stop LH cos he was slicing thro the field like he was on a PS2 Game!
5. Bernie Eccleston said that he wanted FA to win and then after the racesaid that he was over the moon that KR won and KR deserved to win ? What and y did LH not deserve to win ? LH has lead from almost the start of the season ? and hes a rookie ?
6. Also FA has been way off in Qualifying and not that quick in the races ?Strange ? I think that it would look bad for the sport if a driver from a team that was found guilty of cheating won the championship ? So rather than deduct points from them and spoil the best season in years, they have told McLaren that if they dont make sure that neither driver won that they would be further punishment or maybe even ban from F1. So this made a very interesting F1 season didn't it ? the outsider won from the poor cheated on Ferrari Team ! Jusitice seems to have prevaled ? more like it was cleaverly engineered !
Even the 2 BMW's and renaults have been let off for ilegal fuel temps in the race which would have put LH 4th and World Champ. It was all Fixed ! I think even LH and FA may have knew about it cos neither of them looked all that upset ? I would be VERY upset after allthat work!

But what we do know is that there doesn't appear to be a better driver in F1 at the moment than Hamilton.
Apart from Raikkonen, who won more races and posted more fastest laps than him.

Wouldn't Todt be almost a conflict of interest so

But it wouldn't be a shocker.
The current Deputy-President of the FIA was Ferrari Sporting Director for ten years.

Not quite correct. As it turned out, to secure the title he needed two more points from the two races than what he actually got.

He went into China with a 12 pt lead over Alonso and a 17 pt lead over Kimi. Thus as of that moment he potentially needed 9 more points to guarantee that he would take the title.

Lewis was faster on a 3 stop strategy than Alonso was on a 2 stopper - When they changed his strategy he was 34 seconds behind Alonso, and he finished 20 seconds behind him. Your friend is a tinfoil hat wearing nutjob.

I wanted Lewis to win as much as anyone else, but it's time to accept that he threw it away on Sunday (and arguably in China too). If he'd let Alonso past at turn 3 and followed him rather than dropping to 8th, he'd be the WDC now. You can criticise the FIA for many things, but I don't think this is one of them.
It's funny that. I thought that maybe Hamilton was told to give the chosen ones a bit of a headstart. I'd have thought that the unspoken implication was that if he didn't make it look good enough or give them enough room, then he *might* suffer a gearbox failure!

I dunno, but my "mighty fishy" antennae seem to twitch mercilessly, at the end of every F1 season. It's been happening for nearly a decade now, and it's why I'd rather watch Superbikes, Carrera Cup, or BTCC.

TBH I'd not be surprised to find that Charlotte Church the Sugarbabes or Westlife are huge F1 fans, and I say good luck to them!

I reckon if Hamilton has his head screwed on right, he'll win the F1 title in the next few years, to firmly nail his name to the post, and move into GT racing or another of the superior circles!

So if this crock of shoite is true, then explain to me why McLaren are trying to get 3 cars that finished ahead of them disqualified? If they were ordered not to win, what would be the point of launching an appeal against the stewards decision?

Playing devilled advocat for a mo. They will be obliged to appeal because not doing so would be a strange reaction considering the stakes. They also know they have less than a snowballs chance in hell of winning?
