Will Gollop?

ETA: OK, the filename is a giveaway, I should have cheated first. smile

ETA2: I think Palmer could do a lot worse than bringing RallyCross back to Brands.

That Ferrari 333SP is gorgeous!!! Were they not fairly well used in the states??
And in Europe. They won several ISRS championships and a Daytona 24hrs. Several drivers, such as Gianni Lavaggi converted them to 4.0L Judd V10 spec. to remain competitive. The sound was amazing - based on the V12 GP engine. I have a gorgeous photo of Vincenzo Sospiri in a JMB Racing car at Donington which my dad took as it descended the Craners. Very special.

I'm sure I remem ber watching races like those on TV, and it was a 911. At that age (very young) I could'nt understand why a Porsche could'nt beat things like a Metro or an Audi. Ahhh, the innocence of youth

Oh, doesn anyone else find those early adverts- black on white with a thin red/yellow band really evocative. Whether its shell, Dunlop or someone else, I know its the mid 80s....

The Porsche 911 is almost certainly Matti Alamaki. Bit of footage below -

That reminds me of another great Senna picture where is waiting next to a stricken mp4/5 or mp4/6 near to the end of some fencing. Can't find it at the moment but here is another to be going on with...

We're in danger of moving away from Sportscars here wink

My personal favourite Audi (petrol and Perry McCarthy);

and a rather nice shot of the rather impressive ad genre changing R8 at Sebring;

Great picture above of (I presume) 'Williams' winning the Monaco GP in a Bugatti for the first time. Quite a guy; he and other french racers all joined the resistance during the war. Williams got caught by the Nazis and was executed.
