hehe

I've seen what you've done! I was there silly.

No, he had the good sense to crash coming off of turn 4, then he hit the inside wall before careering on for another 400 yards to come to rest in the tri-oval.

Here's one of the front two rows including the class of the field - before he was taken out by Junior - Kyle Busch.

Busch being towed behind the wall after 'The Big One'.

A final one showing how close I was to the start/finish line...although the race was rained off after 150 laps so it's academic....banghead

MOTHERF*cker. that is scary. Imagine that engine in the front of the car by your legs with the clutch, bellhousing nd flywheel blowing up.

That is it I am getting a scatter shield for my next Race toy.

I did see a car blow up like that once at Mallory, happened just as it went under the bridge, there was a shattered 13 of a flywheel imbedded in the woodedn base of the bridge for years after that. Not sure how the guy was!?
Bit of play in the clutch there I think hehe

Jellison, if you look behind the big catcher (air intake) that is the scatter shield (clutch can) floating behind the motor.

I read an article of this incident in a book by Steve Reyes and it said the clutch discs actually cut the chassis in two and the incident started via a snapped crank causing vibrations to the Lenco.

yep - I kind of relaised that after I had posted it. I will not be ragging my next V8 to quite those revs!

I think that Andy Warhol M1 has just been quoted as one of the 25 most expensive cars in the world by Octane!!
Laughable how some dick with a think paint brush can bugger up your car and it goes way up in value - only a sad tw%t would be paying for this surely! OCTANE!;)

1958 I think - Temple Buell Maser 250F - a very evocative shot

This photo proves two little known traits of these two great drivers:

-JYS has halitosis
-JYS never knew when JC would head-but someone...

If its Targa pictures you're after I don't think there's any point in trying to improve on this - http://www.forum-auto.com/sport-auto/theme40/sujet...

the French (I think) version of Pistonheads - their thread on Targa Florio pictures currently runs to 527 pages - I haven't looked at them all(!) but there are some fantastic shots on there and its definitely worth a visit...
