3rd round this weekend at the fastest circuit in the country.

Some news thorney have decided to skip thruxton to test the car and redesign some parts and should be back for rd4 in a months time.

The mgs have had a slight boost reduction and the rest of the swindon engined runners are giving a slight increase these teams are welch automoive, es racing, speedworks and thorney.

With weather looking very unsetteled into the weekend i could be a major factor.

So will we see a new winner in the btcc or a 6th different winner this year.

This will be my first rd i will be attending can't wait to make the trip down there to see the new cars in person.

Im thinking that dave newsham will do well as the vectra is well suited to this track mayby taking his first win.

If the weathers a bit iffy it will level the playing field though.

Hoping the weather improves so I can get to try out my new camera lens! Though If it doesn't clear up it should make for interesting racing anyhow!

Good news about welch getting a boost increase, the car looks fantastic and it will be good to see it perform well. They're also based in my home town, Fleet.

Also hoping that Rob Austin's engine problems are all sorted and we can see the true potential of Rob and the Audi. I honestly think he can challenge for podiums or even race wins.

I can see TOC running well this weekend. He has said it is taking time to get used to RWD again. 5 races should be sufficient for someone of his ability to get settled.

I'm actually hoping for a wet one this weekend, just to spice it up. Not sure how much of it I'll see on ITV4 through a hangover though.

Should be attending Sunday provided it's not an absolute washout... Fingers crossed for some light rain to make things interesting though smile

How many engines will the Audi blow up this weekend? I thought the idea on NGTC was to save money! The driver of the Audi always seems happy; even though he has done little laps.

I've bought the full weekend tickets for me and the family, and we are camping, so here's hoping for an improvement in the weather! Looking forward to it, should be fun.

Cheers,
Steve

Book a seat in the grandstand, forecast doesn't look good.

Really looking forward to it (especially if it rains).

We're staying at the OH's brother's house at Tidworth on the Saturday night following the Army v Navy game at Twickenham on Saturday. Depending on the hangover situation (starting in the bar at 7am Saturday :cheersmile I fancy a trip to Thruxton.

What's the score with buying tickets on the day?
