A great time of year for motorsport...
Discussion
N24, Monaco, Indy500, IOM-TT, Mugello MotoGP, F1 Montreal, Le Mans and the British GP.
This period is such a great time of year for motorsport.
Plenty of top quality events all within a few weeks of each other, I honestly still feel the anticipation of build up and the excitement of each race after many years following, I believe this feeling must be shared with many here.
One day I hope to eventually tick off most (all!) of the above as having been attended in person.
To offer this thread some shape - have any others chalked off many of the above or indeed completed the 'Triple Crown of Motorsport' ?

It's an absolute joke!
British GT - Silverstone
Blancpain - Silverstone
BTCC - Oulton
MSVR - Oulton
Cholmondeley PoP
All in four weekends. It's nice having events further afield but I get my real thrills from watching the cars live. My highlight of the year, though, will be October for my dream motor racing trip of Bathurst, Phillip Island MotoGP and Gold Coast 600. What a holiday!
I did Canadian GP in 2011 and it was epic. I'd go back if there weren't a million other events worldwide to attend in my lifetime...

Awesome
I fancy doing something like that for my 30th next year. 2 years ago was Spa F1, last year Austin F1, this year Silverstone F1
So it'll be a toss up between doing an epic Aussie/Canada trip or Monaco...Graebob said:

So it'll be a toss up between doing an epic Aussie/Canada trip or Monaco...Might have to pick your brains about Austin. We fancy doing two weeks around the Deep South next year - Austin GP, some NASCAR and lots of Man v Food-style meat eating :-)
I fancy doing Suzuka the following year before we need to be sensible and consider buying a nicer house. Then it'll be ticking off the European events from my bucket list.
The life of the motor racing enthusiast is one of immense privilege.

If you're popping across to Austin (whilst on the subject of Man v Food stuff), can you go here and report back? If nothing but to confirm that the food is still as awesome as when Richman visited

I've done the Australian GP and visited Phillip Island circuit.
The City of Melbourne was mega in the build up to the race. I got to see Albert Park transform & to be woken up early in the morning by a V10 Minardi (twin-seater demo car) being thoroughly warmed.
One of my best mates is heading to Austin this season. I'm somewhat rather jealous & seriously considering pulling some strings to join him.
Don't get me started on Suzuka! WOW! :|
And Interlagos. Christ, that must be the absolute pinnacle of motorsport nirvana. What else could follow?
