Hi, this year I am attending the "SeeRed" event at Donington Park, Leicester. It's an event that exhibits and races historic motor vehicles.
I have never been before so i'm intrigued to know what it's like from people who have previously been.
I have checked the website ( www.see-red.uk.com ) so i know what's on but I'd like a personal opinion.

Any help would be great

Dave

Leicester's not a million miles away from me so might pop along. When's it on, I can't access the link?

"See Red" is the VSCC's attempt at a historic motorsport festival at Donington. Unfortunately, there was heavy rain at last year's event, so spectator attendance was poor. Like all these "classic" events, it takes time to get established and the new pits at Donington do not really lend themselves to the "open" style of paddock in classic and historic racing. However, I hope the circuit management have learned from the GP Live "fiasco" and that this year's event is better. The VSCC always put on a good show (but I would say that).

Roy is not the first person to mention that VSCC put on a great show.
I've heard good things about them, so I'm looking forward to see what they have to offer.
If the previous link doesn't work i have found you can access it through VSCC's webpage.

I paid £20 to go to the sunday event.
It's £15 to go on the saturday.

I've not been to a VSCC event but I've been to a few HSCC and similar era events and they're great. Also a few of the VSCC guys go to hillclimbs so you come across them. I get the impression that if you like motorsport in general (ie not a one-eyed F1 fan boy) then you'll enjoy yourself at any club level event!

Sadly, you've just missed most of this year's biggest events - VSCC Prescott, HSCC Silverstone Classic and VSCC Shelsley Walsh.

IMHO club events are much better than all that FIA rubbish. You can talk to the drivers, get close to the cars, get close to the action and inhale Castrol R. yum
