<LOL> it is this coming weekend this year...
Im aiming to go on Saturday to see a couple of mates racing, and put a few miles on the Ducati as Long as it arrives on time...
I'd better get the map out to find a more interesting route than the m42 and m40 !!!
It can't be this coming weekend as the Renault world series is on, I thought it was the weekend after..Im aiming to go on Saturday to see a couple of mates racing, and put a few miles on the Ducati as Long as it arrives on time...

I'm in two minds whether to go to this or the Britcar at Brands Hatch.

Things drop off the main section fast - hence the need for a Club / National Section.

44 cars is a very big grid, we managed 32 last year and I thought that was big enough. I'm not sure whether we'll manage that again this year, but there have been plenty of people saying they wanted to enter our race so maybe...
I'll be there from Thursday evening through to Sunday, and if our race is first, as it is on the entry list I'll be having a very pleasent weekend watching the racing afterward

I've just had a look at the registration form for the thoroughbreds, and I think it would take me a week to fill in all the mods I've done. Are most of the cars fairly standard, or do they just like to know... I'm always wondering what series I might be eligable for!

Are there entry lists available for the other races anywhere?
They are all available through the MGCC website at www.mgcc.co.ukFollow motorsport -> entry forms
And then you can go to a list of the championships from there (below the entry form link).

JP - what spec is you car then - you can run pretty wild almost free engine in the B class where we have the odd Midget, but you must run on 1B tyres and std brakes I think. Richard Evans on here has one and races in other stuff with his but could easier race his 1380 150bhp A series Midget with us if on Yoko's.

The Midget Challenge is yokos only now, so my 'wet' tyres are A048s, which I think are list 1B? - I didn't think about that as everyone uses them so I got the same. I am impressed with these (but, again, don't really know any different).I've got very little (none?) of the original braking system. At the moment on the front are princess 4-pots and maxi? discs... planning on replacing with some willwoods and hopefully capri vented discs I think if we can get a bearing/hub assembly that will work and stay within our regs (although I'm expecting the only advantage of this as being the weight saving, it stops like it has hit a mountain!). Rear drums have been replaced by Wolseley 1500 drums. Controlled by dual master cylinders with balance bar (again, I don't touch the set up yet!).
Engine is in the original position, 1380 cc, and we've tried to go as far as we can, pretty much the only limitation in our regs is that we have to have the standard stroke and a five port head.
The rear body work has been replaced in fibreglass, as with the doors, and front. No inner arches anymore either.
I've also got a plastic windscreen on order since the laminated one was refused at Oulton after it took an impact at Brands.
JP PM me and I can put you in touch with our Championship chairman to advise if you car could run.
Tyres are fine - we use 048 in the dry and wet if not too wet! (21's otherwise - but you never have time to get it right in clubbies - think I have been on the wets 2x in 4+ years when it actually has been still rainig come the race!).
Not sure on the about you might have cut away of the inner tub?
Colin our chairman can advise though - it is a mega series. Have had a huge full grid last 2 Silv Ints.

Boss is that Pink?
It's Financial Times "pink". The car is ex-Paul Stoddart (of Minardi fame), then ex-John Griffiths (FT's motoring editor) hence the colour scheme. I love it, had a great time winding up Ferrari drivers with it at Snetterton the other weekend. Suppose it must be quite depressing to be able to outbrake an old MG into Riches, only to have it overtake you again at the apex...
