In the current (Oct 2012) issue of F1 Racing magazine, there's an interview with Schumacher. Asked whether anything in F1 today irritates him, he replies "Black gold. Think about it."

OK, I know I'm being totally thick here, but I have thought about it and I don't know what he's referring to: could it be something to do with Lotus, or oil (sometimes referred to as black gold), or even Lewis? But why would any of those irritate him?scratchchin

Anybody got any ideas?

Phew - thank goodness for that: the responses seem to indicate that the meaning of his comment wasn't as obvious as I'd feared it was going to be - I'd thought I was going to have to do a getmecoat or a paperbag.

Mrs T suggested tyres - but if that was what he meant, why be mysterious about it, given that his feelings about the Pirellis are well publicised?

Perhaps the middle-east-oil-money-creating-crap-circuits chaps may be on the right lines.
