Alonso vs Renault

According to the Daily Mail today Alonso, in a Spanish media interview, has claimed that Renault want to be constructors champions but not see him, as Driver Champion, walk off to McL with the number 1 on his car.

If true it sounds like the lad is cracking up and has all but abandoned hopes of retaining his title.
