Best programme of the year this weekend IMHO!
Those of us who have been through international competition know just how much commitment and pain you go through to get near to the top. Just watch their faces.
And I understand that each and everyone on the BBC shortlist is a thoroughly deserving pure-bloodied competitor; making any choice of one over the other never seems right.
Certainly I'd like to support Toseland as much as any and I'm sorry not to see Andy Priaux on the list as a 3/4 year international world champion.
But what we PHers have witnessed in Hamilton's arrival in F1 is a genuine sporting phenomenon. He has internationally raised the motor racing profile to a new level with splendid rub off for the UK blah-di-blah. His racing talent and personality is extraordinary and in the face of the crap we get from the FIA, whose presence frankly guarantees the write off of F1 as far as I'm concerned, Hamilton I hope continues to flourish.
I hope everyone enjoys supporting their sporting heroes on the night, but I hope many too, in the excellent offices of PH find time to support one of the few consistent world beating performers we have in the whole auto world stage.
As good as they all are, I hope Hamilton comes out on top. (Your vote will count).
