BEST road surfaces in the UK
Discussion
PistonHeads must have hundreds of threads on how bad our road surfaces are - and they are pretty shocking... So on a more positive - and hopefully constructive note - can people come forward with their suggestions for GOOD road surfaces?
A couple of guidelines:
-- We're probably going to have to be pretty specific here - e.g., the Bxxxx from Townsville to Somewhereton. No county/region has generally good surfaces.
-- No 30s/40s or general urban drudge, no Motorways, no boring trunk roads.
-- A surface nice enough to drive in any road car briskly, without risk of holes, gravel, nasty vibrating surfaces etc
Basically, suggestions for nice roads, but with a strong weighting on good surface.

I was driving in Yorkshire last Sunday, on some roads resurfaced in 2014 for the Tour de France. They were the best I've driven on in the UK in years, map here: http://www.letour.com/le-tour/2014/us/stage-2.html
