Ok, so I was at the scrap yard looking for a bike to take to Le Mans. Whilst enquiring about said bike, my moneypit senses noticed a curious looking brown box in the corner. 'You need this car!' they were screaming at me, so I asked if it was for sale and as it turns out, it was. I was oddly excited when the man behind the window told me it was the Vanden Plas model too.
Trying to supress my overwhelming excitement I walked over to this car to take a look round it. A car of fantastic condition greeted my weary eyes and with a CD player and newish speakers, my heart overruled my head and I ran to the cashpoint up the road to get the money.
£500 later and I am a proud 19 year old owner of a legendary crap car. I love it though, it gets the right kind of attention and it great fun to drive! I bought it only this morning though so that may wear off!
Now for some photos!!

The 54000 miles has not been properly verified yet, I will contact the previous owner to see if he has any more information on the car.
I hope you have enjoyed The brief trip into the rather stupid world of a lankybob, I look forward to your comments smile

I don't know why, but I like the fact it's brown, it works somehow.

Thats fking classy though! I love the tray tables, it's like you're chartering a flight (albeit very low flying and slow air-speed) to LeMans!

Edit: I'm somewhat of an impulse purchaser, but bravo, I consider myself thoroughly outclassed.

Bloody superb.

The first car I ever bought for myself was a 1500 Allegro, back in about 1985.

That one you've got is , as others have said, so bad it's brilliant.

Leather interior and picnic tables... woo hoo! woohoo

Question is Bob, did you manage to find a matching brown bike?

My one is getting painted in Gulf colours (hopefully) ready for next week
