My Nissan 350z :)
Discussion
Hey, I'm new to the forum so here's my Nissan 350z build from when I bought it to how it sits now
When purchased:
JDM Import 350z (technically Fairlady z) 3.5L V6
My 1st Aim, was to get some new rims and some lowering springs to fill the huge arch gap these cars have as standard. Took my time choosing specs and ended up choosing:
Varrstoen ES2.2 rims polished and went for offset et12 all round with a 9.5j up front and 10.5j on the rear. Also with this I purchased some Eibach pro-kit springs to just make it sit better:
From then I wanted to break up the silver of the car a bit so went cheap and cheerful for some carbon wrap on the front centre of the bumper and the roof. I also got bored of having just lowering springs to went for some bc racing Coilovers with 32 way adjustable damping settings up front and rear. Have me a better ride height and feel for driving.:
Right... Needed some noise. Yeah I love hearing the v6 engine and standard it sounded great but I felt it needed more boise to give it a bit more attitude. Went for the Japspeed K1 ypipe back system:
Then also thought the back end needed something like a spoiler to give it more of a shape so went for a standard lip spoiler. I felt it made the car look completely different with such a little change:
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Next up was the front end. I like the shape of the z so I kept with it and smoothed the front bumper out taking the burger badge off the front and then fitting a nismo splitter , also had a club sticker on the side of the car for promo for a few months and same time got the windows tinted with some stickers on the back window:
Within a few WEEKS of fitting this splitter and having the bumper smoothed, I ended up realising there was a lot more 350z about as they became so much more affordable so we all do it but I started looking at dreams of what i would love to own and then I took things that little further and spoke to Albert at Knightracer based in Milton Keynes. Knightracer at the time was selling a Full Wide Arch Veilside Kit for 350z (like the one of Tokyo Drift). I did think there is going to be so much work involved in purchasing the kit but then fitting it properly! And then also paint!! The more I spoke to Albert about this, I found out that Knightracer could offer all these services from mechanics to Bodywork. So I randomly decided, let's go for it! Why not!? Always wanted something that looked different and something that was special to own to me. So it went off to knight racer to get transformed.

Looked awesome up to and including the boot spoiler, but I can't help but feel like things went too far after that
I thought exactly the same. Looked pretty classy and purposeful up until then, but now it's like something from Need For Speed Underground. Each to their own though
So while it was in Knightracer. I decided to decat the exhaust and also fit ypipe too from Japspeed. Give it some more noise and also the decat would help for remap and performance tuning which was planned for the future. The colours I chose were my choice.
Yeah I know it's a either love it or hate it but hey I built this car for my own satisfaction
One thing I did want different to the usual Veilside kit was instead of having the rivet holes, I wanted them smoothed over. So work commenced:
So also wanted the rear wiper hole welded over as rear wiper seemed useless.
Rear arches had to be cut and adapted to take on the new arches. rather than the kit just sitting on top of the car, the kit will be the car and bonded properly.
Then all the fitting work and paint comes :
Then the wing:
Needed some mega spacers on the rear as you can see so needed 40mm spacers and then also painted wheels gloss black, calipers painted and door handles painted.
Then the body was finished:
Took those stickers off the back window and went sticker free
Inside so far have only fitted aftermarket double din DVD head unit and component speakers with small sub to improve sound quality from standard:
Now up to date, currently having a few bits fitted to it at present so will have some more progress uploaded very soon

Yeah I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but each to their own as some of you said. And yeah I agree with some comments like about the stickers, but it's only when you look back and think..... "Why did I do that!?" Lol but many of you probably do the same in terms of changing things over and over again wanting your car to look different or have something personal.
It's a proper "hate it" or "love it" kinda thing I find but everyone has their own preferences. Thanks for the comments though! 👍 even the bad ones! lol

Wow. Glad to see someone being enthusiastic about their car but the colour contrast between the light/dark blue at the front makes it look like the new 2014 F1 cars with a dildo welded to the front, and it all seems a bit all-so-no-go unless you go for forced induction or something crazy like an RB26/SR20DET turbo conversion, but each to their own
