Scho's Mk1 MX5
Discussion
Hi all,
Sold the porker last month:
Sold with the intention of doing a bit of financial juggling and buying an e39 M5. Drove a few, found the car i wanted etc, VERY EXITED.
Long story short the the bank decided to be barstewards and have given me a few hoops to jump through before i get the M5. oh joys of self employment
In the mean time i borrowed my uncles car, which he was selling for 3.5K. Spent a bit of time and effort and ended up selling it for him £4450.
So there i was, No M5 for at least a few weeks and a grand burning a hole in my pocket...it could only be an MX5.
Viewed a few dogs before i found this UK 1.6 MK1. One owner from 1990-2003, enthusiast owner doing 2k over next few years. 65K on the clock.
Fantastic car! Drives perfect and a real credit to it's former owner.
The MX5 lives up to the hype and more. Had an amazing run trough the peak district the day after i bought it then it was off to north wales last weekend. visited the evo triangle and would up on a beach next to the campsite:
Going to enjoy smoking around in it for the next few weeks, makes the frustration with the bank a bit easyer to deal with. Will eventually be passed on to mrs sco (to be).
Roll on M5.

superb looking car that though isn't it. DROOL.
Aha! Scho!
You've sold the gorgeous 944 for a spot of summer fun...Well played! Glad to hear you're keeping it, even though it's going to SWMBO. I'm sure you'll be taking it for spins & attempt to mask the fact by being incredibly willing in running even the most mundane errands
Good luck on the hunt for the E39

That '44 is/was beautiful.
Selling it for a 90's Bimmer even an M5 to me is just (a little) insane to me!!
You're biased a bit though! Keeping in mind the '44 is the car equivalent of your soul mate from what I gather Selling it for a 90's Bimmer even an M5 to me is just (a little) insane to me!!
On my 2nd 944 , owned a LOT of cars, the 944 is still my favourite
lol re: my typo! Digital cocks were all the rage back in '88!
thanks for all the comments people.
Was a bit sad to see the 944 go, i do miss it.
Itchy feet i guess, combined with the magnetic pull of a 400Hp V8
The new owner rang me to see if i would be willing to talk to buyers if they wanted, seems like a genuine reason for sale.

So (soon to be) mrs scho suggested we get one of those things that go behind the seats to stop her hair blowing about:
Still in love with this car, off to snowdonia for the weekend again in the morning
15's and P5 suspension setup on the way i think.
