I've been on this site for years as a reader, but never registered until quite recently. I'd thought i'd start a thread to keep updated with changes to my GTA. I will add some engine pictures soon.
In case your thinking that this GTA looks really familiar. It had a little feature in EVO. This came out a couple of months after i'd bought it, and i had no idea until i saw the pictures. quite funny though. I'm working my way though the niggles list they mention. The paintwork is pretty good now, i had it professionally valeted/detailed, and a little bit of spray work done. These pictures were taken last summer, I think EVO where a little dramatic with their comments.

New brakes and Q2 are on the list of this year. Just waiting for the dealer warranty to expire before doing anything much mechanical.
Also pondering a wheel colour change from silver/grey to a bright silver.

Nice - I saw the Evo piece. Good luck with it. I had one of those until last year and still miss it - so charismatic to drive. I drove it from London to Moscow and back. Twice. And, not withstanding the terrible roads and the frigid Russian winters, it was entirely reliable (although they do eat their suspension componentry at a pretty rapid rate, even if you don't take them off to silly countries like I did).
Great car! I really miss my 147 GTA.
I would get the Q2 ASAP instead of waiting for the dealer warranty to expire. They totally transform the grip, and the standard diff is a weak point and when it goes it takes the gearbox with it.
If you bought it from a specialist they may fit the Q2 for you.
Check out the GTA lounge on www.alfaowner.com if you haven't already - a really great knowledgable bunch of guys.
