And i probably will spend a lot more money on the replica as its my project and im going to get the 1mz-fe V6 or the V8 conversion and i am doing all the interior, but why not? 1 10th the price of the real and with the engine conversion u can get i believe around 400bhp, supercharge it and your pretty much at the same hp as a ferrari but for £20000 instead of £13000.00 to £17000.00, cheaper insurance, better mpg, no high service costs.
You could buy a Ferrari V8 and put it in a wheelie bin and it will come in at under £170k.. It will have the same BHP.oh and i can drive it now and not in another 5 to 10 years.
I looked at a 2000 FERRARI 360 M Modena F1.Cream Rosso, the insurance company said they wouldnt insure it for me, so tried with a relative thats 39 Yrs old has held there licence since 19, never had a accident, no points and have 7+ years no claims and it was around £9000 a month was the lowest we could find it.
If you know of a insurance company thats cheaper then that give me a message and i will check them out.

This is my new car that i purchased the other day, most of the work is done on this car but i will be replacing the interior, and hopefully going for a V8 or V6 with a sequential gearbox with the flappy panels.
Are you planning on spending £6000+ on a gearbox for your £16000 MR2?OP. it is an A3 1.8T sport, NOT an S3. Just because it has the same engine does not make it an s3, not even close. Thats just the same as saying a mk4 golf gti with the same engine is an s3, granted its a different brand but under your logic its the same engine therefore same car.
And that fake ferrari is just completely pathetic, absolute peice of crap that you've only got to impress people. Granted it probably would work on a complete idiot. But even with a v8 conversion it will still be a peice of crap, and nowhere near a real ferrari. All you have spent on these two cars together you could have got a real performance car, a 997, b7 rs4, e92 m3, plus countless others that your cars wouldnt see which way they went on track or road.
Jesus christ i cant actually believe people like you. Your the same as that gulzar bloke on the other thread, aside the fact he has the money to buy and completely ruin the real thing.

Are you planning on spending £6000+ on a gearbox for your £16000 MR2?At least this bloke's being honest: he doesn't give a to55 about driving, and just wants to pose. I'm not sure about the UK but over here in N.America 99.999% of actual real Ferrari owners are the same way, and I'm betting its not that different anywhere else
A bit silly that he's spending all that money on his cars but clearly he doesn't have or can't think of anything better to do w/ his cash so fair play to him (wow I'm amazed at my magnanimous attitude here - usually I think ppl like this should be shot, though its probably because he's just making crap cars look better, or "better" rather than good cars look worse)

You've quoted the figures from an S3 there - you don't have an S3 you have an A3 that you are passing off as an S3, it's not the same thing.
EDIT: You thinking dropping a V8 into an MR2 kit car will make it even 1/10th of what a real Ferrari is like to drive? You must be delusional!
I never said 1/10th of what s real Ferrari drives like i said 1/10th of the price, i don't want the car for racing, IM not fussed how fast it goes.
Will have a look for pics of the Audi before the kit was fitted, then you can see the base car the engine in the car is the AMK 1.8 20vT (S3) and it has the 6 speed box. I always understood there was 2 s3 models the fwd and then the 4wd, if you have a look online there are lots of fwd s3's for sale, my car has all the Bose speakers and the CD changer in boot ect.
I bought it 3 years ago as a S3 it has all the extras, I purchased the car as a S3 FWD 1.8T, and i was told it had a replacement engine put in about 1-2 years ago but i do still have the receipt some where.
On the V5 document i have it says Audi A3 S 1.8t.
I bet if Gulzar posted up that Audi everyone would be bumming it/him!! It's just as garish as his Bentley.
I wouldn't bother spending any more money on the Ferrari rep, bigger engine new gearbox etc, unless you steal the parts and do all the work yourself, you'll end up with a car owing you so much that you may as well have bought something else. Infact, at £16k, you could have bought something else, but nevermind.
