Can i ask how you made piece (slightly dramatic choice of words I know...) with investing the sort of money you clearly have in your monaro?

I'm not in a position to supercharge my car at the moment but i'm realistically only a year out, i have been having a real battle with myself about if spending that sort of money is totally mental or not....especially when I could just get a 911/370/ZM4 or even a monaro/VXR8....but knowing what i'm like I imagine I'd only start looking at modding again and thus the circle of evil begins all over again.
Good question.
I picked a car to start with that i wanted, and new i would be happy to keep.(very long term)
then just started looking at it as a hobby, dont even think about the money or try and justify it.
pay the credit card off then get the next lot of mods done pay off the card and do it again biggrin
I always wanted an aston, but life stopped me getting that(long story)
But once i set my mine on the Monaro that was that, but for me had to be a brand new car to start with.
Iam very lucky to have a wife that enjoys the car as much as me, plus also my son(5) is made on it smile

Had another little test drive to make sure the rear tyres are not rubbing, had to cut away the rear right mud guard as this was touching on the move, had a wheel of and no marks on the back, so fingers crossed they are ok smile PSS 285s are about 3/4" wider than PZero 285s biggrinbiggrin

Car penciled in for march to have water/meth injection fitted and service and some map tweaks biggrin
Also for march is a front end respray just to clean up 6 years of stone chips rolleyes
On the lookout for a company to do the flat floor aeros at some point, will be talking to
a new company very soon biggrin

Nothing else big planned for this year other than lots of driving
Off to scotland in May that will be great fun, meeting up with other owners for a long weekend smile

My current plans are to get Monkfish to take a look/replace the spigot bearing and give it the once over. Brakes seem to be noisey with a fair amount of vibration through the pedal. I want to find out if the discs are identical to the Corvette ones as Summit Racing do replacement disc & pad combos from $106.95 each which seems very reasonable when you look at prices over here. I know there is duty & freight to add to this stuff but it will still be more affordable. It would be good to know if Vauxhall use GM part numbers or if they have their own, as that would make it easier to make sure I'm buying the right bits. I have been using Summit for years for bits for the Winnebago.

First car show this year will be Surrey Streetrodders "Wheels Day" at Rushmoor arena Near Farnborough on Good Friday. The only problem is how do I get my 39 year old Winnebago Brave & the Monaro there.

Talk to Roger at Monkfish about prices, have you tryed some heavy braking to clean the discs ?
70 down to 30 5 or 6 times often works.

wow impressive car, and impressive performance... must go like stink, does it have traction issues with all that torque.

must admit i'm surprised at your wheel losses... my car made 575hp at wheels which was 626bhp at flywheel... so you have 90hp more losses than mine!!!

see you also have a carbon fettish lol... have you considered making bits of your own?... its not that hard to do properly and often cheaper and you then have moulds of your own to make more should you wish smile
