Looks good
But how expensive? If you don't mind me asking.
Well worth the investment though. I have lots of niggles to fix on my 04 Z4 with this engine but overall it's such a good package I don't care.
It seems at 100k miles it's oil seals time to fail but they are all so cheap and easy ish to swap who cares
Only real things I'm a bit worried about is the clutch and maybe the VANOS, also that swirl thingy under the intake manifold. I really need to put aside a few days to just strip the engine down a bit and replace a load of bits and bobs

Just about £300. I was offered a tidy up for around a third of that. But wanted it done properly. But how expensive? If you don't mind me asking.

Interesting. I have a few spots that are ridiculously tiny but after this next coming winter may need doing. was it down your way?
Yes it was, a garage in Holton Heath about 5 miles outside of Poole. They aren't the quickest but they have a great reputation and I'm impressed with the work. Can pm you details if you like? Looking really good. I have a real soft spot for silver E39's.
I had a new wing, bumpers resprayed, bootlid rust sorted for £650 last year. The finish was spot on. It does pay to live up North sometimes
Pics when it was done. Its nice to see other people take car of these cars as they are so damn rewarding.
I debadged mine as well and had the bootlock taken out

Looking good.
I could do with my front bumper prepped and resprayed just due to the chips over the years.
I had some work done in Tadcaster recently but wasn't impressed overall. Their prep work let down what should have been an easy job and given the £400 for *just* spraying an almost perfect spare part I provided I wasn't impressed at all that it didn't basically look brand new once they had finished. All just little details that would have cost them mere minutes over the job but I guess that is what separates the good from the average/bad.
So where is this place in Teeside? That isn't all that far if you know it's a good price *and* a good job

not a fan of the fake Mparas personally, otherwise lovely looking car I had a new wing, bumpers resprayed, bootlid rust sorted for £650 last year. The finish was spot on. It does pay to live up North sometimes

Some good looking E39's chaps. I really want my front bumper doing. It's got a lot of chips and some flakey paint. Might get it in sooner.
Too many silver ones Chum of mine that I lift share to work with said he'd do some detailing and sort all my rust out for me this morning (not that there is much rust just 3 tiny stone chips that are starting to turn)
Hopefully going to have a crack at it next week!

Are they 19" replica wheels or did BMW make some of that style in 19", or do they just look really big for 18" wheels?
Dave
replica 19's by the looks of it. they never made 19" MparasDave
As much as they look nice, the 18" ones do look much nicer to me. If I could get a good manual E39 in silver or solid black with the M54B30 and those wheels, I would
I'd be very tempted to fit an ESS supercharger TS2 kit too

They should have done. They are replica's, but the ride was still very good on them. Wouldn't do it again though now on the M5 but that's all it is, my opinion. 18's are fine, i wouldn't even want 19's on my E38 7, let alone an E39 5.
