Well 265/35/19 MPS4S don’t like going up ungritted steep slopes. It’s official!
Couldn’t get out the road this morning. Had to clear it and put some grit down. Then I got stuck in Chorley. Big ramp into the industrial estate. Not having it. It’s been left in another yard at the entrance over night until the snow goes.
Back in the Legacy now wearing its Cross Climates. Like driving in the summer!
It’s amazing the difference in stability between the two. My legacy had yokohama winter tyres on and it was unstoppable in snow and heavy rain. Couldn’t get out the road this morning. I had one moment yesterday driving to North Wales. 30 seconds before a roundabout it dumped a biblical amount of hail. Back end stepped out considerably. I managed to catch it and get off on my exit. Luckily It was doing 10-15 mph and no one else on the roundabout.
255/35/18 Michelin ps5 are no good on ice. I’ll be looking for a set of used winters in the summer.

I can see why Style 158s are cheap - they aren't exactly pretty!
My E90 came with summers fitted and winters in the back, and both sets were on 158s.![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
ETA That's why I bought a set of Style 290 E89Z4 wheels for the summer! Someone on the z4forum finally sold a set of these last month fitted with winter Pirelli Sottozeros for £170! The only difference is they sit 5mm further out than 158s so work just fine, but it's another option.

Not on the shelf. He has the jigs and makes these to order. It was only a few weeks lead time. He was doing a really nice, one off system for a Shogun at the same time.
Not sure why the links are working? Tried twice and they don’t seem to highlight now.
Thanks! I had one of their systems on a TT Quattro Sport and it was an absolute work of art and sounded incredible – it was a one off and Nigel swore never to make another one again as it took so long to make Not on the shelf. Edit- I’ve seen the exhaust for the MK1 TT. The down pipe, CAT, full system looks brilliant. I wouldn’t mind a MK1 Sport. Someone I know has one. Wouldn’t mind a red one if one came up.

Looks well that, I like how it sits at the rear. Some M3 LCA’s would drop the front to even it out a tad…..
Is it just the control arms needed or the radius arms too? I’ve seen that Superpro do an uprated kit too which is both sets. I don’t mind the front height. It just sits a tad too low at the rear for my liking.

Full service kit ordered from BMW will be ready to collect later. I’ll get this done prior to remapping so I know everything is good.
Oil, air, cabin and fuel filter. Gearbox and diff oil, new drain plugs and washers, fresh engine oil. Also got a new lower mesh grille as the one on has a small crack in it.
