truely gorgeous car. I want one myself so badly. with the cold weather, does the heater do a good job of keeping you warm?(with the roof up). and what's road noise like at motorway speeds(with the roof up).

the heater 'did' do a good job, I removed it all now she's a dedicated toy/track car laugh

The gearing is a bit short for the motorway 3.5K at 70. Makes it a bit noisey.

Cosy enough though, until i removed all my carpets smile

Hah! So you're Scho! We met on Monday at Cadwell - I've got the black 944 Turbo. It all fits into place now, I remember you're M5 on here! Good to meet you mate, perhaps bump into you again soon?!

Ha ha, yes. Good to chat to you, Great car you have mate!

I'll drop you a message next trackday I book and if you do end up looking at E39 M5's maybe I can help you out?

Thinking mallory park next, think you mentioned you'd been; what do you think?

Hi mate, yeah we did Mallory earlier this summer. It's ok but not very inspiring - certainly in comparison to Cadwell, and hence I probably wont go back. Too many other tracks to get around first!

Update time!

The old girl now lives off the road in a unit I share with a few mates, Great having a place to play!

Hood binned and TR lane fitted, Also have removed all heating system :-)

Door bars and willans 4 point harness. Ignore pass side. Probably comming out.

Side windows, motors and runners binned.

Binned the snorkel and re-drilled the air box to intake from the indicator recess.

Removed headlights, Motors and fittings.

Removed loads of bonnet structure and catch and replaced with pins, floppy as hell now but very light!

4x massive tow eyes binned and replaced with straps. Rear fog binned in favour of white gaffer tape.

Just need to get some extra bits of ali welded on to bonnet to replace headlamp cover and were ready for silverstone on the 24th biggrin

1. No, I'd hope for around 10% or 100kg when I've got a decent drivers seat in.

2. Wear a coat tongue out

Might be worth getting some daisies or other light (15" would be better for tyre choice) wheels. Those are pretty heavy are they not?
