What a fantastic project - well done to all involved. Great to see you had some good press, too smile

I have toyed with the idea of a crate V8 into my E28 track car...I wounder if your guys would be interested? Far less involved, I suspect, as there's far less electrickery and perhaps more room under the bonnet, too.

have you thought about fitting a hsv hardpipe and replace the rubber one coming off the throttle body.

I think craig has a spare carbon fibre one

Well my ongoing wheel saga continues I know have my own Style 32 mountain....

While messing with the wheels I've spent some time looking at the front suspension I've had an irritating noise at parking speeds and over speeds humps which I've traced to the HSD drop links, they are rose jointed which is great for track but not for our pot holed roads and winters.

The problem is tho that they are shorter than standard BMW ones

Well by now you all must know that means Craig is going to have create again smile I ordered some replacements cut them in two fitted them to the car & clamped them together so Craig could weld them for me.

And all clunk free, the really keen amongst you will notice I've upgraded to E46 M3 discs too.

Apart from replacing a leaking oil filter that's all that's been happening apart from using it everyday it's done about 6000miles now.

Looking good Blair, I always thought style 32s were BMWs best looking wheel.

I've probably missed it; but have you re-weighed it after the conversion?

Stunning work - well done.

Remarkable! Old preconceptions meant I thought it would have put on a lot more than that. Also I guess it has moved the CofG rearwards a bit? Which can't be bad.

If I'd used the standard rear diff & BMW gearbox it would be 40 kgs or so lighter, and te car had been an M3 it would have been lighter after the conversion! A mate of mine has a Z3M Coupe with an LS1 and its now lighter than the std car.
