Looks well that, I like how it sits at the rear. Some M3 LCA’s would drop the front to even it out a tad…..
Is it just the control arms needed or the radius arms too? I’ve seen that Superpro do an uprated kit too which is both sets. I don’t mind the front height. It just sits a tad too low at the rear for my liking.

Managed to get in the body shop next week. Will be having the bonnet, front bumper, top of the front wings, side skirts, rear bumper and a small chip on the rear passenger door painted.
Plan now will be body shop, then full service and a remap. Might need to sort a spare set of winter wheels out. Don’t fancy running these if the weather is turning again. Still using the Legacy though, for now.

Good and bad news from the body shop. They’re stuck into it now. However, the front end chips, which had never been touched up, have rusted down to the metal. He’s not happy filling these, so it’s going to be bare metalled now.
Next issue, it looks like it’s had a bit of a knock previously on the front end. Just cosmetic thankfully. At some point, it’s had a replacement genuine front bumper, but not a new one. It’s blue under the white paint! They’re going to strip this right back too and start again.
Adding a bit extra to the time/cost, but I want it right.

It’ll be worth it. It’s a pain fixing other’s people’s short cuts.Next issue, it looks like it’s had a bit of a knock previously on the front end. Just cosmetic thankfully. It is what it is and you know when done; it'll be as spot on as it should be... Peace of mind for you too...
When I had the 'front end refresh; done on my import E39 touring, my pals bodyshop ended up stripping the front end right back, plus the A pillars and along the tops of the front doors as it wouldn't have looked right at all; more so with it being silver...
A shock then; but knew it was the right thing to have done when I got the car back

It was almost done! BMW have supplied a non M Sport front bumper grille so it doesn’t fit. Fair play to them, they are going to deliver the correct one (much dearer too), at no cost to myself, directly to the body shop tomorrow.
All being well, will pick it up on Thursday now.

Jeeeez, the car has genuinely never looked better Rob. I'm really glad that it's gone to someone who will look after it and it's great to have a thread to keep up to date with developments too. It's the quickest bookmark I've made on here. ![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)
Re: the front bumper, I'm not sure when that happened. The bloke I bought it from got it as an AUC from Sytner and he was definitely not the kind of person to get a repair done himself, so I assume it was pre-Sytner, which I'd have thought their checks should have flagged up. I'm sure your guys will get the car looking unreal regardless and I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with mapping it too; since it's something I always toyed with doing to the car.

I often thought about whether the car would look good if the wheels were done in a dark grey and turns out it looks amazing. I loved the bright silver wheels but the dark grey is more in keeping with the 'Sport Plus' vibe and tie in well with the privacy glass/gloss black trim on the car too. ![cool](/inc/images/cool.gif)

Thanks Grant. I think the car deserves it! It was such a good base car, I just needed to get the few little bits done to make perfect. ![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)

I’ve just got home now. Picked the car up earlier, got back to work about 3pm. They managed to get me the last slot in for the MOT. Passed again with no issues

I just need a new front plate from Sytner now (un drilled) and fix it with sticky pads. I don’t want to drill the bumper. It’s all been filled and smooth now.
It’s on charge now in a spare bay at work. Battery light was on when I collected. It’s not moved in weeks! I wanted to ceramic coat the front end before heading down to Race Retro on Saturday but I don’t think I have time now.

Lad at work just making me a new set of OEM replica plates. Couple of little tweaks and he’ll get them printed off. Just making sure everything is in the correct place, as per the originals that are on. Will have a go at the dealer window stickers at some point too.

Who'll make the plates for you?
I want new plates for the touring too; will just get plain, simple plates off eBay I think. Don't want any borders or labels on them etc
