id give it a 10 but then i remember the car is a total irrelevance to me, i will never get to drive one, i would never have the skill to use it properly and i could never afford it

so purely as a piece of eye candy

BUT Vauxhall have fked it up. They mass marketed the 1.9cdti engine POS as a "sport-hatch" and now there must be about 100 of them in the stty little town I'm from.

PLUS I've lost count of the amount of times someones told me they have an "astra sport hatch" I've asked if VXR and they've looked blankly, before saying "I don't know... It's diesel and the sporty one".


So, whilst your car is lovely. VAUXHALL have fked it. Properly fked it. So it's 4 from me. Blame every lad in his 20s, who wanted one, couldn't afford it so bought a 1.6 petrol or 1.9cdti with Vaux's fakery sport kit.

I think I've missed something, the only VXR looking Astra('?)s I've seen have been VXR's

I could probably list at least a dozen acquaintances who have black astras, derv, and refer to them as "sport-hatches" or "sporty astras".
