I ended up with a free weekend so managed to service the car and change the front brake pads
Iv covered 1700 miles in the car in the last week so I wanted it doing sooner than later as iv gone over the 7k mile mark that I always service it by. Iv only gone about 300 miles over so I'm not too fussed.
I went with the usual Millers NT+ 10W 50 and filters etc from Spyder Perfomrnace
The front brake pads were looking pretty low too so I did them at the same time
Here you can see the old vs new brake pads

I attended a local track day at Three sisters in Wigan, Its only a small track so my expectations were low. However, I was pleasantly surprised as it was a really enjoyable track to drive around. There was a good mix of cars, varied from fully restored MK1 Fiesta all the way to a new Lotus Emira (still one of my favourite cars at the moment).
In other news, if your mate buys a 4WD pickuptruck, I don't recommend going green laning after work to see how capable it is - it results in being stuck for ours and being rescued by a landrover
I then spent the weekend changing the front suspension on a E91 335D. The spring had snapped so it was a good excuse to change everything. Im not a BMW guy at all but im a massive fan of the 335D, it can get 50MPG on the motorway and its still quicker than most cars on the road. I think if I end up needing a practical estate then a 335D will be my first choice

Went to the monthly cars and coffee this weekend in Liverpool, yet again it was a great event - highly recommend it for anyone local. Each month has a good variety of different cars. See a few of my favorites below
In preparation of moving into my own house I've also bought something that iv dreamt of for years - a table coffee table made from a jag V12. You can tell I'm gonna be living alone
Project for summer will be a garage build for the new house

Between Manchester and Liverpool you say? I'm also that neck of the woods. Nice 997 you have there and great to see that you use it properly too!
Show my face at CnC Liverpool from time to time so will keep an eye out (987.1 Cayman S in guards red).

Not much to update , cars plodding on and has now hit 122,000 miles
Accidently drove on a flat rear tyre last week, what a great way to wreck a half worn tyre. Luckily when I replaced both rears last year due to getting a slash in one, I kept the tyre that was still decent and only half worn. So luckily I swapped this one over last week .
Iv finally moved into my own house, main reason was garage and large drive. Im thinking of a possible double garage to the right of where my 911 is, iv measured it all up and it would work , could even have a big glass window so I could see my car out my living room window, we can all dream cant we
My engine table is also now properly in place in the living room, its rather satisfying sitting down infront of a big V12 that once powered a Jag XJS

Ended up with a free Saturday so did one of my favourite things and headed to the lake district at the crack of dawn to drive on some nice roads whilst they are empty.
It was annoying to see a lot of average cameras on the A590, aswell a the speed limit reduced by up to 20mph in some areas.
I drove a circular loop via Coniston, Hardknotts pass and then Wastwater. Then ending in Windemere for an early lunch
I wanted to get more photos of the car but the weather didn't agree
