Thanks smile

Ive got the sticker, I just need to do the bank transfer to pay for it. Odd system that, they send you the sticker and then you pay after it arrives?

I’m hoping there & back is three tanks? 1100 miles, should be doable in 300 litres of fuel right?

Pray for me!

I've found a hotel close to the musuem, I orginally was going to book the V8 but as thats 30 mins drive away from the Musuem I erred on the side of caution. The hotel It's a mere 500m walk, I'm hoping to do both the Porsche & MB Musuems on the same day and then travel back home on the following day, which is a lot of driving in a short amount of time. I really hope that the Cryenne gets me there & back with out issue.

I've driven nearly 600 miles since the repairs and the car is feeling great, but I'm still proper nervous.

Sadly I can't extend the trip due to needing to be back for a funeral.

Allow yourself a whole day for the MB Museum, you'll need it.
Sadly not an option, time poor. The main attraction is the Porsche museum.

I’ve driven abroad a bunch but never on my own in the car.

Have a crack at Avalance Adventures, their next pay & play day is the 21st I think? I took the Cryenne there and had a blast. It was a long day as it was a 6hr drive there & back.

Can’t wait! As luck would have it, there’s a touristenfahrten day at the Ring, so I’ve booked a rental from Rent4Ring who I sued a couple of years ago. Nice way to break up the drive to Stuttgart.

Don’t think I’m brave/dumb enough to take the Porsche round the ring just yet.

Well I’ve made it to basecamp, specifically a premiere Grimm in Folkestone. Decided to make a last minute change and save a really early morning start.

Anxiety levels are currently 4/10, hopefully that reduces once I’m on the continent.

25.4 so far. Pretty happy with that but hopefully that will increase with more driving.

The Nurburgring today was very challenging 1 lap was heavy rain, the next had snow! It was a good learning experience but I’ve decided to stay another night here and have some more time tomorrow as it will be dry.

I’m also knackered and I don’t think a 4 hour drive to Stuttgart this evening is a good idea.

Back home earlier today. Managed to do Nurburg to Essex on just under a tank (showing 90 miles of range). There’s a new oil leak I need to investigate tomorrow. Something has sprayed a bit of oil into passenger side engine bay. I’m thinking a breather hose maybe?

Crap picture, as ever access is hard. But what I can see is that there is oil sprayed all over the intake pipe and near the turbo:

I am so done with this car.

Took the car to elite Porsche. They couldn’t see the source, but they cleaned up the area and said to monitor it and see if it reoccurs.

I didn’t take the car on track as it would out a lot of strain on it and generally be too stressful for me hehe

As this was a solo trip, I couldn’t take the risk of it blowing up.
