Just to add to this, I had to have some custom driveshafts made by one of the AC race teams. The AC cars run a six speed Abarth Grande Punto box and therefore the race cars have much stronger CV joints. My originals lasted about 2000 miles so I had a custom set of driveshafts made for my 5 speed box that would allow me to fit the AC CV joints. The driveshaft itself wasn't the problem, the pokey CV on the original car was. Not sure how long this set will last but we'll see!!
Not really, I kind of drive it like a 911, slow in fast out and use the brakes to brake very late. Another reason for the style is the wheelbase. Have a look at some of the AC races on Youtube, they like to swap ends a tad!
The tyres are fantastic. New Toyo R1R's, have stunning grip for a road/track tyre. Far better compromise than R888 if you use the car on the road and I also have KW V3's so it's really does handle very well.

Ye olde bump!
My Fiat has been off the road for quite a while. It decided to nuke it's head gasket at Goodwood when the fan switch decided to stop working. Quite convenient as it has allowed me to strip it down and do some good old fashioned stylee tuning.
It should be on the dyno this week and hopefully back in my hands soon. It'll be running steel rods, fully ported head, OMEX ECU, throttle bodies and plenum, increased rev limit (main point), lightened flywheel and a host of other goodies to get him racier for track use next year.
The biggest improvement should be the breathing, the ports on these are so tiny, much smaller than your thumb for example.

No idea really! I hope c. 300 bhp, but it's more about upping the rev limit that anything else. At Goodwood (my local) I hit the rev limiter at Lavant corner and at the kink at Fordwater so I just need a little more headroom. It also drops slightly out of the boost band on downchanges so it's all about the rev limit for me really. The other thing is that it starts to struggle to breathe about 125mph down the lavant straight and I suspect that is due to the fact the head didn't flow despite the huge turbo. So all the work has been put in to look after those items. It's well quick enough anyway!!
PS I have some "filthy articles" at my house if you're keen!!! lol
