Don't get me wrong, I was over the moon when I found that quote, but anyway you look at it £1740 is a lot of money to 17 year old!
You're a named driver and it costs £1740!!!!I was a named driver on my dads car for a while - only used it at weekends and less than him so all perfectly legal - and that was £400 on a 1.5 civic.
Bit of an update, after almost 10 months driving this beast I have covered nigh on 10 thousand miles, £1540 in petrol, running a drunken woman over and many trips around North Wales, has it been worth it?
A: of course
The car has its quirks, I could never fathom how the induction noise was so great until i pulled the plastic peice of tat covering the engine off to change the air filter, the mechanic at the dealership my parents bought the car from had not attached the filter housing properly, so instead of the air being channeled through the correct pipes to the filter, air is sucked through this gap from the back of engine bay next to the firewall.
I did rectify this, but I missed the noise so 'modified' it again.
The front tires, acceptable in the dry, not brilliant but okay. In the wet is a different matter all together, lets just say it they have taught me a few things about understeer! I'm sorry to say I haven't been able to replace these due to lack of funds.
Since August a few routine maintenance items such as brake pads, oil change, air filters. The console bushes also needed replacing, a common failure on the Polo (Fabia too)
Overall the past 10 months has highlighted that although I have learnt a huge amount, I still have so much to learn!
Anyway, enough boring words some pictures, not many I'm afraid as my Phone recently decided to wipe its self
Amongst friends, these were taken at various points along 'Worlds end' after one of our favourite roads; the 'Horseshoe pass'
And one of my mate being a tool!
A few random shots:
My favourite pictures taken after a long day of cleaning and waxing
Love this one!
And last but not least, the only, but the best modification...
Cheers for looking, any C&C welcome.

what have you shortlisted and what is your budget ?
Have a few short-listed under budget but insurance isn't looking likely!Civic type R (EP3)
e46 3 series
Mini cooper
MX5 (obviously )
Mark 2 Golf GTI
I'm probably dreaming but I'm going to look into insurance and see what's what.
Budget is £3500, £4000 absolute maximum!
