Thanks for all the comments.

I really wanted to make it a s2000 replica, couldn't bare parting with the 2k for the kit though.
Is that a Peugueot kit then?

Lol indeed!

As good as it looks on a rally car, probably a tad much for a road car.
The spacers required to get the wheels to meet the arches would render it totally undrivable / dangerous.

I think the OZ's are coming off for winter, fancy some 17" steel wheels and snow tyres :-)

Thanks mate.
I wasn't pulled over by the exit taping my mates number plate to his rear window by any chance? The police were parked at the junction in front and he forgot to put his plates back on lol
Our stand was fairly out of site at the show and the steward was being a whopper and wouldn't let us set the cars out how we wanted.

Neighbour has one of these in white. Never really noticed them before, but it's a nice looking car.

I like the subtle modifications you've made, good choice on the wheels. Any plans for more power?

Thanks, i've wanted OZ's since i can remember. It's only recently i've been able to afford a set!

I'm thinking of adding:
Seat sport intercooler
Water / Meth injection
Forge induction kit
Some Forge hard pipes and silicone hoses to tidy up the engine bay
Limited Slip Diff while i have the spare box in the garage, also have a longer 5th gear going into that box
Remap

That would probably be enough to keep me happy as it's pretty quick already.

Really like the look of your car. and I don't really like red cars or Peugeots.

cant believe the trouble you have had how many miles do you do? as it its 30k a year It might start to make sense. I've had less problems with my VR turbo and Z cars mini combined than you have with a supposedly 'modern reliable car'

Oh and add a electronic boost controller to your list. with a remap and controller most turbo cars will run quite a bit more power.

Liking all of the positive comments the car is getting, thanks!

I've just covered 50k now and it is just over 4 years old. Full service history, plugs and oil changed every 10k.

Standard the car is 175bhp, i'd easilly expect a very reliable 230bhp after all of the modifications listed. It may only be around 50bhp more but it makes it a very competitive car from what i've seen of others.

With a larger turbo i could easilly see the other side of 270bhp.
Anything further than that would require new pistons and all sorts i'd imagine. From what i've seen 320bhp is acheivable with forged goodies.

Nice car!

I've been waiting for a thread on one of these for a while to see what they're like.

I've got a 1.6 HDi Sport model, great car, with decent handling, and ridiculous MPG, couldn't recomend it more. People will probably disagree, but I feel it handles better than my previous car a 106 GTi, when planted round the corners.

I'm considering a GTi model next year but i've been put off that its only got 5 gears, compared with a Corsa VXR with 6 and also a VXR has more BHP. Corsa VXR seems bland inside compared to the 207GTi though.

Only thing that worries me is the problems you've had with yours. You can pick up a nice 50k< GTi for around the £5k mark now, which seems pretty decent to me.

Cheers
Sim

I tested all the equivalents out when purchasing this, has miles more character and is fairly large compared to the Clio and corsa.

The 5 speed box is a pain yes but cruise control on the motorway makes it less of an issue and you can easilly pull out and give chase without having to drop it. I've got a longer 5th gear going in my new box which will increase fuel economy.

My opinion would be to keep the diesel mate you can have some cracking performance increases on those diesels. The GTI bits are easy enough to get hold of!

My next car is certainly going to be diesel, there's a nice BMW 120d Msport coupe with my name on it.

Are you on the 207oc? If not its well worth registering.

I like that, bar the new wheels (sorry), when you say 'something a bit more reliable', has it broken?

Do you still have the original wheels..? scratchchin

Lol it's ok, everyone's entitled to an opinion. I'd happily stick these wheels on anything, but that's just me.

I sold the original wheels a while back when I moved house, I was going to refurbish them but didn't have the time between work, training and the family. They are pretty expensive to get hold of even second hand.

My list of repairs to date is on the previous page, thats what has failed since last may. Lol it seems like every component on this car is incapable of lasting long than 40 - 50k, Peugeot have a clock in card for me now the car is there that often.
