I have no idea how people manage to get 40mpg out of 100HPs, I struggle to ever see 40mpg and mine is the 1.1! Perhaps it has something to do with my driving style... i'm going to need some new front tyres before long...
PS. Nice car!!
Unfortunately the 1.1 is the least economical in real-world motoring, the 1.2 betters it. I regularly hit 40mpg (indicated on the computer). I can get 45mpg on a commute but generally average 38-40mpg as my normally car does 2 to 5 mile trips in a hilly town. I think the torque of the 1.4 and <1000kg helps, no need to thrash it.PS. Nice car!!
I won't hear a bad word said against these little stunners. I really miss my girlfriend's old one - cracking little car. It returned 48mpg average in the time we had it, and would hit 53mpg on a run at a constant 70 - and that was from the 1.2, not the diesel!
I love the click-clack gearchange and the stubby, well-positioned gear lever; also, the way it went around roundabouts on its door handles, and the sheer sense of joy it seemed to convey when you gave it some beans down a narrow country road, like a terrier after a ball. The only thing I didn't like was the over-assisted EPAS, which was lifeless and rubbish.

Regards the car OP. Good choice! It looks in good condition and you will always remember your first car. I will be looking for my first car soon too!
Build up some NCB and enjoy mate!

Did an oil change the other day, it hadn't been done for 3 years so it needed it. The car is so smooth compared to before we did it now. Also changed the air filter, it was done at the dealer last time and they had obviously not got one for a Panda, as the one in the car had been cut to size! Now replaced with a proper one.
Car is booked in for a new timing belt next week and the exhaust is slowly falling to bits so they are the next things on the list.

I have a 100HP, I'd quite like to drive a 'normal' Panda though, they look just as fun. Great choice for a first car. Having fun without breaking the speed limit is the best way!
We tried one at the same time as the 100hp, really a different place to be without all the nice features.visual123 said:
What 'nice features'? There aren't that many on a 100HP!
SeatsClimate
Trip computer
Leather steering wheel and gearknob
1.4 engine
I have driven a few baby Pandas a while they are not a 100HP they are perfectly fine little cars for punting about in. Its not as if the 100HP is a lion in sheep's clothing! I'd never describe mine as fast.
