Seen this over on the Audi Forums. Very nice colour combo and spotless.
Just about to put my saloon RS6 on the road and will be spending a bit on it this year as its a keeper. Far more usable on the road than the high power RWD alternatives... Mind you yours is bloody fast with those times!
If you have any pictures of the adaptors for the C6 discs I'd really appreciate it...

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'll post some more photos of the RS 6 tonight.
The D2 S8 was the better car, I didn't sell it, some gits stole it from an Audi specialist, but that's a story for another thread.
The S8 was/is better in every possible way bar performance. It was lighter, MUCH better made, the interior was just solid and not cheap like the C5 interior, the S8 recaro seats were a million times more adjustable and comfortable, it even handled better. The only thing the RS 6 does better is speed.
I'm actually buying myself another D2 A8/S8 as I miss mine so much, I'm going to justify it by saying it is a present for my dad's birthday in April, but it will mean I get to use it whenever I like as he drives 1/2 times a month and bikes it everywhere else. I've had three D2's now as well as a C5 S6.
Here are a few photos of the S8, I really do miss it.
Absolutely stunning car in the OP...but I have to say it I much prefer that...bloody gorgeous! The D2 S8 was the better car, I didn't sell it, some gits stole it from an Audi specialist, but that's a story for another thread.

In the next few months I've got to make a decision, as I really miss the balance/handling of some of my old Bee-eem's.
1. Keep the RS 6, and buy it a nice E46 M3 stablemate to satisfy my craving for something more fun (not just in a straight line).
2. Sell the RS 6 and replaced with a 997 Turbo, which will sort of combine the handling I want from the M3 with the twin turbo power and four wheel drive I love from the RS 6, I don't need practicality as I have a company car and it was only ever me in the RS really.

Both cars look absolutely stunning OP, you clearly have very good taste, I am a massive fan of the older Audi's, a lot of people are only interested in the new models but for me the old ones just have far more presence and style
Agreed, new Audi's don't do it for me. In fact, I only actually like about 5% of Audi's, if that. The rest are just normal cars, nothing to get excited about like some people do. The ones below are the ones I DO get excited about. UR quattro

Option 2. Whilst the E46 is good it's also very dated now, and in my opinion it would have to be the CSL. Also, whilst I do love the RS6, it's a bit of a one-trick pony.UR quattro

The 997 is a cracking bit of kit and will perform the roles you want it to.
Lovely looking RS, wish that colour was a standard option!
I'm still loving mine, meteoric performance for a heavy 4wd estate with not too bad economy all things considered.
Only flaws I've noticed on mine is the soft touch plastics although great when new and 'feel' high quality, it's just standard plastic with a rubberised coating at the end of the day.
And the amount of controllers that get upset by the slightest spurious reading from a sensor somewhere. The VAGcom has earnt its money in 5 months 10 times over already.
Despite that they are amazing bits of kit, that have aged very well IMO. Not overly fussy or detailed but still retain the subtle aggressive look!

Sort of, the then technical director of the Audi Driver magazine was looking after it at his Unit. I trusted him when he told me to transfer the insurance on it to my second D2 S8 I had as it was in secure storage and insured under his policy He turned out to be a massive con artist, of course, I lost every single penny on that car and two years on still haven't had a payout from his insurance or business. Although he was never caught stealing my car, he did get caught stealing another customer's car, think he got something stupid like a suspended sentence. I can find the thread from the A8/S8 forum if you're really interested.

So you uninsured the car (because you trusted him to cover it on his own unit insurance) and he just drove off into the sunset in it?Yes Contigo, from SRS.
It was certainly due to the lower numbers, one RS model at a time and the fact that although they didn't handle and excite as much as their M rivals, they had a lot more power, usually. Now Audi slap the RS badge on anything, so I doubt they will hold their value as much now.
