1993 Mitsubishi GTO, Turbo/Manual/RWD Conversion...
Discussion
5 year update, after accidentlly finding out i made readers car of the week in 2017, yesterday... Original engine blew up not long after i got it on the road. Que another 2 years sat on my sisters drive. Brought it to work over lock down and spent many months basically redoing everything I had done plus a lot more.
Designed and made my own wiring loom to fit a Haltech 2500, amazing bit of kit... Super rare jdm rear spoiler sourced too.
She runs well now, just needs some bodywork!
Absolutely love it, feels special to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes. I did buy a mapped F13 640D in the meantime so speedwise it feels a bit underwhelming Although I'm not the biggest fan of the engine or transverse layout so I am very tempted to rip it all out and fit a BMW M52 with a big turbo, hopefully put another post up in 2027 with it all done
Shame all the old photos don't work, this is what she looked like at the start...
