Watching with interest.
Are those fiesta pepperpots in your first post?
No, a different PDC. They are Kiwi Lineas, which proved very hard to find. I got three with the original parts i got, and unfortunately had to buy another complete set just to get a fourth. I'll have plenty spare wheels now though! Are those fiesta pepperpots in your first post?

How are you going to control fuel & timing?

I owned a few Triumph Acclaims years ago when I was a younger, they were a great left field car, my mates were buying Novas and Metros etc and I went with this, they were cheap to buy and if you took the air filter assembly off the twin carbs had trumpets and they sounded brilliant!
This is a great little project will be good to get that turbo installed as per above the Acclaim was actually a brilliant little car to drive for its time compared to other Rover/Leyland rubbish because it was really just a brilliant little Honda - with a gutsy engine (12v?) lots of torque but also loved to rev, good handling and fancy things like 5 gears! Almost always driven by OAP's and ordered new in hearing aid beige and they were generally well looked after.
Will probably go very well with that turbo installed.

Never heard of a turbo conversion, I learnt to drive in a blue Acclaim, was the best car I had ever driven at that point
I was impressed it had twin carbs, miles better than the Micra my fist instructor had.
My grandad was quite proud of his twin carbs.I was impressed it had twin carbs, miles better than the Micra my fist instructor had.
The typo in your post made me laugh.
Wow.. thats a new one on me too!
I always dismissed the Acclaim as an old gimmer-mobile... and now I'm hearing talk of twin-carbs?!
Are those wheels XR2 Pepper pots - or an actual Triumph / Honda rim?
eta - ignore me! ... just noticed you answered the same question above!

My dad had a Honda Civic in the early eighties the Acclaim was based on the Civic saloon which was called the Ballade. It was a cracking little car 5 speed gearbox, rev counter dad's was silver with a red interior & looked great compared to Metro's & Fiesta's where you got some seats and a steering wheel!
Dad had a bit of heavy right foot and used to leave a lot of sportier stuff standing in the traffic light grand prix it used to run out of puff at about 90 though. Sad day when it was strangely traded in for a new Nissan Cherry he did regret that swap

the readout can be ave/overall mpg mpg speed etc, a bit like most "modern" cars have.
