Fair play, that is a massive turbo! hope you have a suitably sized Air filter/chain link fence to stop it eating everything you drive past? ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

had a call today and the greddy ecu is playing up and if they cant sort it i might have to send it back so thats another delay, and my aem afr gauge isnt working so might need a new sensor

Sorry but 'flip' paint and barry-boy chrome rims really don't do it for me either! I'm sure once you lose the wheels & get a re-spray it'll be ok! ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
Indeed. ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

Serious question here, not taking the piss as you seem like a resonable chap here rather than the usual Chav and of course I'm very aware it's all down to personal opinion on these things anyway. But do you seriously like the wheels/paint combo? Was it just something you liked or was just a look you were going for because so many of this type of car are like this?
Sorry if that sounds patronising but I'm honestly interested and I figure I might get an honest answer rather than the usual "shurup innit, u iz ghey, i haz had ur mum" etc etc
i know every one is intitled to there own opinions but im a bit offended to even hear the name barry boys in the same sentence as my car! looking at the shed they have on there, to even put mine in the same class as them is in my opinion a bit harsh.
i understand im not always going to have positive opinions about my car and comments are accepted but there is some things being said that are just a bit over the top.
i personally like the idea of flip paint. seeing the colours that develop just by moving around the car while sunlight is on it is amazing to watch and a art form. not that many supras i know have this on there car, again take that as you will but it just makes it some what different. so not sure where you got the idea so many cars like this have it? here is a example of some of the colours on a good day

Being part of a big owners club, seeing a line of a bout 20 silver or black supras, having this paint makes it, in my opinion some what of a special gem, and then having the engine to go with it makes my car even more appealing to me! of the 1000s of members in the owners club i know of 2 other with this paint, and every one of them gets the positive attention at shows that i want my car to have! like to think of mine as a show car but has the go to make it a track/drag car
now the chromes.. chrome wheels is some thing i have always taking a liking to and like the way they look when all cleaned and polished up. i thought the wheels and the paint compliment each other, again for the more showy look! i even had them on my old supra just because i liked them
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v662/nova_lee_sri/100_1124.jpg)
i know its not always going to be to every ones taste but as ive already mentioned ive tried to have a car thats good enough for shows and good enough to out drag most supercars on the road!
some of you may have even seen this supra with the same idea but a lot more power!
http://www.rsemotorsportuk.com/rsecars/rsesupra/
now i would understand some of the "chav" comments if this car was full of fiberglass and more tacky body kit then you can shake a stick at but it hasnt. its a standard body supra because altho i want the show factor i dont want the hasstle of kit ect as it dont make the car go any faster!!
im not a chav in the slightest or perticulary like them, im prob like most of you and get annoyed by kids going round with bigger exhausts then say jap cars for instance or even having about 4 exhausts poking out half fitted and painted fiberglass body kits found on ebay complimented by the sun beds strapped to the underneath!
the point im trying to get across is, the time, money and stress thats gone into building this car does not deserve a barry boy tag

Has the emanage had it's bugs ironed out to be able to control larger injectors properly now? I remember a couple of my mates with biggish power supras fouling plugs galore and another friend was advised to not even bother trying an emu to control his set up.
If I was you, I'd be puttng nothing less than an AEM or Solaris on it.

Anyone care to exmplain to an ignorant fellow like myself how you get more power from a single turbo than a twin? Is it just that the single one is massive? Why not have two massive ones and more power? or two medium sized?.
Fair play spending over £20k on a Supra its going to be one rapid motor!.
PS I don't care what colour it is.

From what i've read in the past, particularly with Supras/Skylines etc, it all depends on how much is being spent, and also what characteristics you are looking for. According to most people, big single turbos tend to be less complicated and tend not to give so many issues with the time taken to spool, but then with single turbos the power comes higher in the rev range.Fair play spending over £20k on a Supra its going to be one rapid motor!.

Twin turbo set ups are generally more costly, but depending on turbo size, can give the same or more power, but just means that the turbo spool tops out earlier in the rev range. Having never been hands on with turbos, i don't know enough about them to provide a decent analysis, but anyone feel free to correct me or to add to this for further info.

Good spec, wouldn't have gone for the flip paint and 20" chrome wheels though, seems a bit dated.
The silver supra with the wheels actually looks better in my opinion!

Yeah, totally agree, flip paint is textbook Barryboys stuff...

Seems a kind of odd opinion to be held by members of a site which revolves around TVRs. Does that mean that the above Tuscan would qualify as a target for "Barryboy" motor?
As for the chromes, I kind of agree with the negative opinions on those. They look the part on big American SUVs (no, not a Range Rover Sport or X5) and big saloons, but seem a bit out of place on a "performance" car. I can't think of too many supercars off the top of my head which would be improved with the addition of chrome wheels...
I would favour something more simple, and JDM-type designed. What about something along the lines of gunmetal-coloured Volk 6-spoke wheels?

I think the paint things more acceptable on TVR's because thats an original factory colour, its kinda the same how Lexus lights are not chavvy on a lexus but are on just about everything else. Although i wouldn't have a tvr in that colour it doesn't immediately turn me off it, whereas this looks like it just got off the set for the fast and the furious, which isnt a cool look.
Nice car, shame about the colour and the wheels, in a nice matt colour set off with some more discreet wheels i'd probably reall like the look of it, bet it goes though!

well after some talking with other supra members they have come up with this so far with the help of photo shop
takes away the "bling look" and with face lift head lights which are black inside, and then mayb tint the side repeaters will make it look better
there jade r wheels, been recommended to go for black to match dark paint
