Blair,
Could you give us some details about the crank being out of balance?
+1Could you give us some details about the crank being out of balance?
If it was the crank, would you not expect it to be very noticeable at higher rpm?
So, perhaps it's not as big a worry as the advert makes out?
I'd have thought that was putting a lot of people off and maybe it shouldn't need to...

It won't get any better or worse, between 1-2000rpm it feels a little lumpy like it has a little misfire, I guess most wouldn't notice it & presume its a feature of the engine but I know it's there so have to mention it.

I've tried calling the number in your original ad posted earlier - 07021559059 - it doesn't work.

How was the journey home?!
TX.
Well I had a few too many shandys last night so I wasn't feeling 100%. Once I got the car we headed for some nice country lanes. The sun was shining and the roads were quiet, well they were until I came thundering along. At first I was a little disappointed because the car felt quicker from the first passenger sest ride. But once I let my mate have a drive and felt the thrust from the passenger seat I realised it is quick. It just doesn't seem to feel quick from the driver's seat. I was beginning to feel sick so we stopped for some drinks. Then I had another go and started to get a better feel for the car. 1st gear doesn't feel so fast, 2nd is a bit better but 3rd and 4th are serious. The speedo just motors round from like 60 to 100. The quick shift is a bit tricky to navigate from 1/2 to 3/4 but if you just stick to 3/4 then its just back and forward obviously. I managed by luck one very impressive shift from 1st to 2nd and the car slammed me in the back. I then realised its better to change at like 5000 revs instead of going higher. 1st and 2nd are then just used to get into 3rd where the real magic happens. With all that torque you just don't need to rev it so high. As I started to get into the groove and really enjoy the car my mate told me it was all a bit much for him and he really was beginning to get a bit worried so I had to calm it down.TX.
So yes I'd imagine on a track it would be excellent. That's exactly why I bought it. It's going to be used for fun occasional use only.
I don't really have much choice. All my friends think I'm crazy. None of them would have even thought about buying something like this. I just get tuts and disapproving looks from them when I start talking about it. Here I'll be told I need a bigger engine with a supercharger. If you're gonna have a mid life crisis do it right.
