My Little Citroen Machine

Dude, this is unbelieveable! It's the nicest Saxo I've even seen and the quality of the work carried out is amazing. Just read through the whole thread and can't wait to read the next update. One of the best threads on PH!
Any idea on how much (or little!) it will weigh when finished?

I hope Lewis won't mind me saying, but I have seen on another site that he is contemplating selling up.
I believe the current situation is that if he gets a decent sum for the engine and 'box he will then break the rest of the car and sell the various tasty bits from it. A real shame, but I suppose a project such as this is always a labour of love
Apparently he's after a split screen camper, bit of a change!

Don't worry boys, I have abandoned that 'sacriligious' idea of selling, it was sheer tomfoolery on my part...just had hankering for a VW splitty after attending a show last weekend (I really REALLY love them!!)
Still waiting on my suspension - I am HOPING that I will get it next week, i'll keep you updated,
thanks for the interest again guys,
Lewis

Right sad news....well, not really that sad i guess! Basically I just have NOT had the time recently to get anything done on the car and it has been getting me down. Although there's not THAT much left to do, it's still too much of a project for me to under take, so I have taken the decision to sell it. I was going to break it, but fortunately a good friend has offered to buy it minus a few parts, and he is going to finish it off - so it will live! He has good taste and I know he will do it justice, and finish it to the standard I had in mind for it when I originally embarked on the project. That in mind, I am keeping my engine, gearbox, AP brakes and Recaro seat, and am fitting them to my next car
After wanting one of these for literally YEARS, I finally have the opportunity to buy a real minter off a friend who has only just finished rebuilding it nut and bolt, from a bare shell to a complete car. It's had a full respray, inside and out, and is immaculate throughout. It also has awesome wheels that the original Rallye's had - car being a 106 Rallye! At least with this as a 'mini project' I will be able to get it up and running before the end of the summer and actually have a nice track car to toy with at the weekends. It's been getting me down seeing all the nice cars on the road in the recent fine weather!
Anyways, here is a pic, I should have it in a month or so once the current engine has been removed, then I can get on with making it even more badass! I hope you guys approve, and don't flame me too much for my decision...
As you can see it already has a throttle bodied engine so i've stuck some vids below (can't wait to hear MY engine and gearbox in it - woo!)
It still requires the original decals to be fitted but the current owner will be doing that for me (I have already paid the deposit on it too so the wheels are in motion so to speak!
My plans for it are to get my engine and box fitted, get the wiring done by wire wizard, and fit the STACK dash too (I was thinking I would have to sell this to fund the next project but fortunately I won't). Fit the brakes, and my Recaro seat, and i'll need another cage too at some point as that's being removed prior to the sale. I'd like a full on weld in job sprayed the same colour as the car so it's subtle (as subtle as a full cage can be!) Apart from that I will keep it the same, as I think the guy has done a wonderful job on it so far. Just lots of cleaning and driving it I think!
