I knew you wouldn't sell it. Too much money and time gone into it. I've decided to invest some money into my suspension and brakes as they're not quite up to the job at 3 figures.
Which setup you getting? B12s are great but sometimes wish they were a little stiffer on b roads. I'm hoping ARBs help as the body roll is still there. How's yours running any plans for more tuning or are you busy with the Caterham? Which brakes you looking at? I've been recommended these:

Took the Saab to have the wheels checked for missing weights, turns out they were all still intact confused

Turns out the tyre was ready to explode! Not sure if this is a Nottingham term but it had a 'bleb', allegedly normally caused by potholes. Perhaps it was from a recent B road blast.

Nipped down the road and picked up a used tyre with about 5 mm tread on it for £40, so should see me through to next MOT.

Drives smooth as silk again now smokin

Finally an RHD strut brace for the 9-5 that isn't a big bend! Not a bad price either:

Thanks Jimbo, your 9-5 is absolutely incredible!!! Those wheels are unreal, would absolutely love a set in gunmetal but they're so expensive. Also not seen a 9-5 in that colour, you need to upload pics of it to Saab Nuts on Facebook, it'll break the internet haha.

Sounds like you've really got the best out of the 15t, that's a great figure, and I bet it spins up really quickly.

B12s are 'revalved' B8 shocks with Eibach springs. Which springs are you running?

300ish bhp is plenty in these 9-5s, so next mods, which I aim to carry out in July, will focus on handling and driveability:

1)

Brand new Saab 9-5 gearbox with the latest updates and reinforced collapsible sleeve

Equipped with Saab/GM Torsen differential (Partnr: 01-QDH9395), a torque-biasing limited slip differential allowing for better traction under acceleration and cornering.

The gearbox has been built with tighter tolerances for better durability.

Will fit:

Saab 9-5 - 98-10 Manual ( Models between 04-10 will need shift linkage Partnr:105164108)

Available with final gear ratio 3:82 or 4:05 - https://www.maptunparts.com/transmission-system/ge...

2)

SAS 9-5 all models 98'-09' Uprated 25/22mm ARB/Sway Bar Kit

http://www.partsforsaabs.com/product_info.php?prod...

3)

Resprayed updated rear bumper:

4)

Big brake kit, possibly a 314mm conversion. What are the Maptun brakes like? They look ruddy awesome!

If you do find a dyno, make sure it's a Maha so we can compare like for like, would be interesting to see.

My 19t made 315 bhp 388 lb ft on its first run with boost issues, then on the next run it made 342 bhp and 384 lb ft, more recently it made 319 bhp 374 lb ft, all on the same dyno. Seems to be pulling like it's back at around 330-340 now, feels really lively.

I think the 19t is generally hard to control, not sure why though.

Karl reckons that because the 19t is SO hard to control, on a dyno the revs rise too quickly and this can cause the ECU to hold back, so on the road the car is normally making an extra 10 or so hp.

Spins up very quickly which does kinda put me off going hybrid/bigger turbo in the future. As it is the car only really comes into its own at naughty speeds.
I would've thought the opposite; that a fast-spinning 15t with minimal lag would come into its own at less naughty speeds. That's why I'm pretty happy with the 19t, you can plant it in 2nd with enough hot weather/passengers inside, and it's surprisingly savage. 1st is comparatively gutless because boost is limited, 3rd is pretty mighty, the torque floods in by 3000 rpm then flatlines and gradually tails off towards the redline. The main difference between the 15t and 19t I've noticed is low down torque. I haven't got any like-for-like graphs for comparison but it feels like there's so much more torque low down; you can make absurdly rapid progress with minimal revs. An hybridised 2.8 must be silly.

Wanting to spice up the rear end, as it looks a bit bland, but didn't want it to be too flash.

So, to go with the updated rear bumper, I came across a fellow Saab Nut who sold me this rear spoiler for £45, off a Sapphire Cosworth! Should have something of a Lotus Carlton about it once installed. Will get it resprayed along with the rear bumper in July.

Gave tyre shine a go for the first time, always thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but it came out very well!

Couple of previews of how it could look, courtesy of my questionable photo editing skills. I want it looking purposeful not chavvy, and it's purely a styling enhancement, not kidding myself that downforce on the rear of a fwd car is going to help whatsoever:

Hi m8, it was less the clutch bedding in and more me having to adapt my driving style. Took a while for me to work it out but you basically need to give it plenty of revs when setting off, otherwise it squeals.

No you don't need to; hold about 3.5k then let off the clutch nice and gently and it's really smooth.

The key is to maintain consistent revs whilst releasing the clutch

What's the torque rating on them and how much are they? Maptun one was £258 but since gone up to £300, limit is 550NM so good for up to 400 bhp.

Repping the PistonHeads decal, oh and a flat tyre! Have ordered 2 x Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas for the rear.

Wasn't too keen on the 'Performance by Nordic' numberplate surrounds so have subsequently removed them and will re-install the pressed plates on their own, although part of me is tempted to leave the front one off for a while laugh

Fresh rear tyres and centre caps on. Spoiler has arrived and I reckon it will really suit it; nothing too over the top.
