They say it cannot be done - 1000bhp Supercharged VXR8

The bh now whines Fitted the CAI this morning, going to have to fabricate a new airbox as not surprisingly the Camaro one does not fit, but a quick data log shows much better airflow and an estimated 620hp at the flywheel. Just need to chase down a couple of cells that are knocking in the tune, then get it into Charlie at SRR in a couple of weeks to see what the magic number at the wheels is

620 from just the CAI?!
Retune and intake. Boosted Commanded AFR from 10:1 to 12:1 and am now seeing 2psi more boost with the new intake. Stock airbox is massively restrictive. Rev limit is also now at 6500rpm. At the end of the day though, these are just calculated values from EFI, hence wanting to get it on the rollers to see the wheel value. HappyMidget said:

It would be interesting to see what the max rpm airflow is compared for to the TVS. For example the new TVS 1740 actually moves more air at peak rpm than the 1900 and is close to the 2300 even though it's much smaller!

But who is to say that when you are shifting approximately 1.6 times the air volume that you are shifting now that the new CAI wonder be a restriction again? Seems daft to do it twice!

Lingenfelter used the same cone on their 940bhp Camaro, so should be ok.By the way what's the max rpm of the 2.9 whipple? The whipple can shift 1800cfm of air at full speed, which is good for 1200bhp.
