Why did BMW now do the steering wheel like that as standard? That looks superb. So much waaannnnttttttt!!!!!!!

There really aren't many cars I'd buy brand new even if I had the cash at the moment. In fact there's 3, Aventador, Nissan GTR and the 1M.
Don't know mate but all sorted now, if they put it in the GTS and the CRT then it could have been done but it is now ; ) as for your list I would add a Mclaren mp4-12c to that for me lol

Were you heading southbound on the M11 on Saturday evening? A white 1M with added carbon passed me (white E30) and it looked awesome in my rear view mirrir - such presence!
Picked up my wife from Stansted airport and was heading back into London, it was my wife who spotted you and commented on your car, she also gave you a quick wave as we went past, very tidy and looked well nice on the road mate, you have done a great job keeping it looking that good.

op, how much did you lower the car in the end???

i love that the drop is minimal, looks pretty close to stock, can you confirm the front and rear ride height change :-)

thankyou.

10mm front and a 5mm rear mate, but as you can see from the pic the front bumper does hang low so I have had a few scrape encounters but all focused around the mid centre back area of the bumper. I am thinking of dropping the rear just a few more mills.

gives you an idea with the VO 1M running standard suspension

Thanks mate,

No real budget, just when the wife allows me lol externally there is not alot more I wont to do, I have purchased a 2x2 carbon diffuser from Alpha-N Performance in Germany www.alpha-n.de/, now just awaiting for delivery, then who knows.... I am keen on a splitter that is almost spot on with the splitter fitted to the Motogp safety car, then I will be done on the outer......

aussie i think 10mm front 5mm is Kw smallest amount of lowering, i.e the coiloversset to their highest, is that correct, ive never been a fan of a decked car as they are just not practical in our day and age, can you confirm if your currently running these set to the highest point ( From what i read thier highest point lowers the car to the specs youve posted).

Car looks fab, keep it up!!

whats next??

any engine bay pics??

Yeah the 10/5mm is the listed minimal drop by KW and is the minimal recommendation for the set up to function, but after mine was fitted (by KW Germany's development tech) a guy in Europe had a kit fitted and his tuner was able to maintain a nigh on oem ride height but this is not recommended by KW so I am unsure what was done to maintain that level, but I do agree with you about the slammed look, it is just not practical on today's roads, and I will not be going any lower than 10mm up front, but I feel an additional full mill drop to the rear is required now to pull the back down a tad and level up the front, (after changing the rear box there was a bit of a weight differences that could be the reason for the rear).....

Next, well I am still looking at the software upgrades but still unsure who and where, I am pretty much temped to go a German tuner while taking in a trip to the ring again, but still looking into each and in no rush. I have the carbon diffuser arriving anytime now ......

but the plan is to keep it as close to factory 'looking' as possible but on the list is seats and brakes.

Engine bay, looking at having the cover done in a frost metallic white
