Having seen this a little more up to date on an unnamed forum, I can confirm that the OP's work is bloody ridiculous! I read the whole thread over the weekend before seeing it duplicated here.

Has he shown you his headlights yet? Stupendous work!

I have a question. It's the problem I have been pondering in my head the most for my scratch build which is almost enitrely in my head still.

Fuel tank. Where are you planning on positioning it?

Wow, great project! Have you read any books to help you or are you just figuring things out as you go along?

I wish I had half of the practical skills you are demonstating here. Top work and what a buzz when it's completed, driving around in something you've designed and built from scratch.

A touch of TVR 3000m about the shape, or maybe even an f40 inspired bonnet. Absolutely, resoundingly amazing project. Can we call it a project? OP makes it seem child's play. Hats off to you.

With a project like this that is so detailed and thorough, we need to know more about the man. What is your background sir? You are an inspiration.

Not worked on mine for a few years but here is the thread.... I've been playing with the noble in the meantime re-making all the body in carbon (took moulds and redesigned some panels).

Cheers for the link. I enjoyed both threads, some lovely work you have been doing. Did you build the chassis for your scratch built?

The fuel cell will be located over the rear axle and in between the roll bar supports. This will give the tank good crash protection hence the steel rear fire wall. Good luck with the project.

I decided to work on the front spoiler/front wing edge so I could then build and locate the head light cluster, since I have had no luck with choosing a head light from any of the car manufactures. I needed to brace the grill surrounded so I bolt a piece of angle to the roll bar brackets and braced to the grill surround to the angle. This allowed me to move the jig cross member to support the lower spoiler wirer.
