Can you remove the link to the Aplina rear bumper image, or change it to a different image host? The site it's hosted on is compromised and it keeps setting off the Phishing alert on Google Chrome for me.

Wow, haven't seen this one for a bit! Beedub, if you remember we were talking about shooting your car for a BMW magazine - I'd still like to shoot it, and I know BMW Car were going to run it. I've got features in BMW Car right now, if you're still interested please drop me a line steve@stevehallphotography.net (or feel free to call on number on weblink in my profile)

cheers,
Steve

i thought id better update this.......

she is still alive and kicking.........

i've been struggling for the last 2.5 years to drive the thing, became a parent and ended up being a full time lone dad (FML) so the car has really had to take a back seat, but i vowed to myself i would absolutely keep this thing, she will never leave me, my son is now nearly 3 and we are much more stable and in a routine that actually allows me to have a life (finally).... The car has had some use, couple of track days but nothing worth mentioning, im hoping his will be our YEAR!!! so... while shes been laid up, ive made a few changes.

First change i made is to get rid of the o.e 19" CSL wheels, they look awesome, they are light BUT... i got sick of seeing over other z4/bmw with reps of them, so i sold them and swapped into my track wheels which are oem 18" e9x m3 wheels, took me ages to get a good set and had to do some serious travel to get them, offset wise they are rather aggressive for the z4m but with my track biased suspension/Geo, they work and work well , tyres are ad08R which ill put on once the cars out of storage ( dont want to flat spot them while shes sitting) , also i went back down to 18" for a better ride and cheaper tyres..

The car has some further tweeks and is making a touch more boost now again i will update with some new power figures....

The car is about to be treated to some lovely tillet carbon b5 seats :-) for reference the stocks seats weight in 45kg EACH, compared to the 5kg Each for the tillets..
(NOT my image, googled for seat model reference)

Me and the Zed's chapter is far from over ..... i will update with the seasons changes, their a few coming..... she is serviced and ready to go, so come march, ill MOT, Tax and get ready to get to my first track day :-)

heres another z4m that went the turbo route running 6lbs of boost running vanos delete kit, still stock motor.... this car made 600hp....

car also has been treated to some billet Vibra tech competition rebuildable engine mounts.... these are used in the e36 cup i believe, adds abit more NVH, god they even looked beautiful and the difference in engine control is insane...

fitting was not fun

the stock mounts which only have 10k miles ( 4k superchargered charged miles) where serverly cracked

random pics (may have been posted before but couldnt find them)

thanks VW .. lol

new triple layer silicone braided intake house for the s/c as my last one fell to pieces....

tight fit in here now...

camber now set to -2.9 to combat shoulder wear, the wear really evens out which a few trackdays and some normal summer cruising thrown in...

boost... boost .... boost.... ( AFR sits a nice and safe 11.5 at WOT redline)

All good, apart from the wheel swap.

Love the seats.

How much are they?

May go well in my Tuscan...

The wheel swap is my fave bit, cheaper tyres, better looking (imo) and much less popular, not to mention the much more agressive offset literlly fill the arches and no more spacers needed. the csls are awesome but as i said before got simply sick of seeing every bmw under the sun on them. plus with my track setup suspension the ride is much better with the added sidewall. The only heart in mouth moment was seeing my 6 pot APs sitting what looks like inside the drum of the wheel, lol, not much clearance at all but within APs recommendation.... JUST.

the seats are around 750 quid each but they do GRP version for much less.

sneaky pic of tuscan???

Agreed on the CSL's although I love them, I went for something different http://z-performance.com/image/data/rims/ZP4%20-%2...

I like the 5 spoke on the Z4M too http://z-performance.com/image/data/rims/ZP4%20-%2... you can't see here but there is quite a bit of concave. Great car. I'm on the hunt for a Z4M after summer!

those do look nice!! very nice indeed.... i am however very pleased with the v8 m3 wheels, they look perfect to my eyes, one of my fave bmw designs since the CSL and back to 18" as well... the 19s always looked "big" on the roadster.....

Great looking car, and i am a fan of the wheels, having them on an E91. Sorry to hear about your lone parenting and I hope the story behind it isn't too awful. Well done on keeping the Z4M and getting to enjoy it now!
