1978 Lancia Beta 1300 Coupe

Ford Midnight Blue is a good match for this one, but the fading on the paint is a thing to behold. Also the crazing, cracking and the huge lumps of primo Wob.
I attacked the underneath of the bonnet with light blue spray on Hammerite yesterday as I ran out of the Ford blue.
I need to get underneath and protect the front nearside wishbone as that is the one showing the most evident signs of cladge.
The driver's door is totally gone, but I have a replacement available. The floor is pretty good, and the roof mostly OK.

A year or so back despite being a fully committed non-member I got conned into writing a piece for the LMC magazine its a bit dry and tedious but does explain all the twists and turns of series of coupe/hpe/spider. Took me ages to write as I tried to check/cross ref everything at least twice although messed up on one point in that it wasn't daihatsu who built betas in SA. Link below another point is that the very very helpful tim speechley has now retired from Fiat so that contact info is out of date.

I do too - Amaretto is the name of the colour and the car has pale seats and a post facelift dash, I gather. Said to be minty. I missed it when it sold for about 2500 earlier this year.
My one is indeed facing the other blue one in the oil above. For a time, the same guy owned both. There is rumoured to be a gold coloured 1300 knocking about somewhere, with a pre facelift dash.

The top of my dash has cracked with age, on both sides of the central ventilation grille. I might try some brown bathroom flexifiller, but there is a risk that the edges will curl up. Possibly a thin sheet of brown vinyl to cover the dash top would be a solution.
I also need to fit the interior door handle surrounds, which are tricky to get in place correctly. I coiled get some pre facelift door cards, but they would be in blue and brown and might not go with the lairy red and blue seats. As far as I can tell, the pre facelift cars all had brown carpets and brown vinyl on the panels. Blue and brown and blue and yellow are common colour combos. Even the key fob goes thus:-

This is true. Mine must not be lowered fuily on the driver's side. I parked the car with windows open, on purpose, at Le Manoir the other night. By the morning some helpful arse had wound the passenger window up but had clearly gone the wrong way on the driver's side and now thee window is stuck fully down. I have not yet had the door card off to fix it.
Also the essence of a Lampredi twin cam is revving the nuts off and driving around at full noisy all day long (I exaggerate, but you know what I mean). The manual box (shared with various French cars) is not the best in the world, but it's pretty OK, and the version on the 1300 is pretty luvverley.
