My brother lived in a predominantly Asian area of Nottingham when he was at university, fifteen years ago now.

You couldn't move on his street for Nissan Bluebirds.

Ah, yes, this brings back memories. smile My first car - not far off ten years ago now - was a metallic blue 1.6LX. An H-plate if I remember, so may very well have been one of the last. Despite having been once round the clock and then to the moon and back, it still felt unbreakable. Not what you would call 'a good steer' exactly but a fantastic cruiser and loaded with kit. Amazing seats, too. Funnily enough, I used to see an immaculate white ZX Turbo on my paper round every day after school (this would have been about '92-ish) and thought it was just the coolest thing!

Growing up just down the road from the Nissan factory in Washington, these seemed to be everywhere back in the '80s and '90s, then they seemed to just disappear over night!

I like the boxy Japanese stuff. I still think a Cedric is brilliant!

I' love something like a Gloria or Chaser for my next car. In a dream world it would be a Toyota Century for the ultimate Yakuza look, but getting into the work car park may prove an issue.....

Early 90's I worked with a guy who had a turbo one of these, completely knackered, but would not breakdown, he could not get rid of it, in the end he took of all the turbo badges and part ex it he dealer did not look at it as was worthless at the time, but called up a couple of days after taking the car and gave the guy a ear bashing for not telling him it was a turbo.
