Turns out the geezer had been arrested, so at least that's in keeping with the Jags, fags, blags and slags theme of the thread.

Hmmm... gimpy Range Rover, dodgy arrest.... I didn't know Kenny Noye was at large!

Just noticed the Daimler mud flaps on your car BV, another option ticked off by the first owner perhaps, the cost would have been about half a week's wages back then.
I said pimpy, but gimpy will do just as well.

Big Vern says that only a right nonce slag grass would go in a series 2.

Mucho wafty smooooooothness on the ten minute drive from garage to garage.

This car is intended as an investment. Slow cosmetic refurb, some occasional waftage, and maybe sell in 2019, the fiftieth anniversary of the XJ6.

I have just noticed that the seats and carpets are very dark bue, and not black as I had previously thought.

Yep, a Daimler makes you feel like Lord fkyou.

The garage has decided to give the AED a try, fitting a refurbed one from another car. So far, it's working. Now to get rev counter and fuel gauge connected.

I love all these adverts, as they remind me that, although my clunker is crusty, it was still a megabarg.

The car now starts easily from cold. I am still waiting on a report from the garage as to whether the AED cuts out as it should. Top dudes, the two Johns. Their only failing is that they forget to send bills!
