I've found it ! The House of Kolor, ahem, colour that I liked was going to be really expensive and I've had a few questions about it's UV stability but after much trawling on the interweb, I think I've found an alternative. Peter Wheeler will probably be spinning in his grave as it's a Porsche colour - but I'm sure he'll let me off this time. Few piccies on pork :
Paint code sems to be L39C Midnight Blue Metallic but also seen references to L37W Midnight Blue Pearl. It think it's the former.
Just need to settle on a bodyshop now. Shortlist of two now, but seems to be a bit slow getting info back.
New uprated clutch and clutch release arm also arrived thanks to TVR Carparts - that'll be a job for the weekend
Sorry to rain on your parade but its a "factory" TVR colour! I had to go to Porsche for a touchup pen for my Tuscan lolPaint code sems to be L39C Midnight Blue Metallic but also seen references to L37W Midnight Blue Pearl. It think it's the former.

Things progressing nicely now. Gary at BeeGee Coachcraft has been working away at sorting out the body work issues before painting.
Engine bay.
There were several scratches on the bulkhead ( ahem ! ) and the area where the heatshield was mounted was a bit of a mess. Sounds like the heat had a strange effect on the GRP so Gary had a bit of a time sorting this all out
Passenger side
Rear wing
The was some rippling on the rear wing which has been there since I've had the car. You could only see it when the light caught it at a particular angle but Gary smoothed it all out
Rear
Bonnet
The bonnet has always looked good but again Gary spotted some areas which had been filled, presumably when it came out the mould. As it seemed to be just filler there was a risk that it would dimple, so this was cleaned up ( you can see where on the passenger wing )
So - time for primer :
You'll notice the winsdscreen surround it not yet done. The screen is delaminating at the edges, it's not too bad but I don't want to have to cut it out in the near future and damage the paint so I've decided to get it replaced with new glass now. Just need that sorted and then it should be ready for paint.
Can't wait !
On the engine front, I've now fitted an uprated clttch and clutch release arm and bolted the gearbox back onto the engine. I'm in the middle of painting it all ready to go back into the chassis when it's ready. Colour scheme is black on the main block with gunmetal and aluminium finish paint on the ancillaries. Still to decide on the rocker cover colour. Pictures to follow.....

Just a quick one on your Nitrons, from Nitrons site...
"These shocks are designed to run inverted for reduced unsprung mass and therefore optimum performance."
I did not realise this and need to turn mine up the other way.
Mmm that's interesting - does this apply to all Nitrons ? Mine are around 5 years old ( although refurbed )"These shocks are designed to run inverted for reduced unsprung mass and therefore optimum performance."
