Bonkers project.

If you do decide to sell once finished may I pop my name in the hat. Beside the Avantime one of my favourite cars.

OK you got my attention, I've dipped into this project from time to time and always assumed you'd run out of money or engineering skills or just get bored...

WELL DONE!

Looks like a brilliant project, cant wait to see the finished article!

great build and a great thread, but there is one thing that is puzzling me...

...how do you change the spark plugs?

Well depending on the year the intervals are
1990-1998 60,000 miles
1999 90,000 miles
2000 to date 120,000 miles

So I'd just replace them now and hope you don't do more than 60k. smile

Is the hole in the transmission tunnel there for when you have a little mishap caused by the substantial power increase????

I think I would have retained the normal side by side seating position and been nice and low down in the vehicle. Almost look as if there was nobody in there driving it. Then watch the double takes as you drive by.....

Keep up the good work.

Absolutely amazing, have to say that when this thread was started I did wonder if this project would actually be seen through to the end, but its clear I was very wrong. Can't wait for the finished article
+1 I was highly skeptical, great to be proved wrong!
+2, Thought it seemed half baked at the start but now know it was carefully planned, the O/P knows exactly what he's doing, awesome fabrication skills.

I'd expect this to be in a few magazines once finished smile

Having previously insured a kit car , I don't foresee any problems as the specialised car insurers were very helpful
